The argument is that there are probably other criteria that are more suitable than being a supermodel as a fan ambassador.

To be quite honest, they could have gotten Mark Goldbridge in as a fan ambassador. He'd be more suitable. Or getting in John Keeling, former head brewer at Fuller's, at least he knows about beer. Both of these are Mancs, I hope you are proud @Juan Matas Beard

That's not the argument the Dodd woman made though. She said she was an odd fit for empowering women because she was a model. That's kind of ridiculous. Mark Goldbridge is probably a no go as an ambassador for a women's tournament, I'm sorry to say. He looks like every police sketch of a Peeping Tom drawn into one.
