Certainly has. Thuram, Sensini, Baresi, Maldini, Desaily, Cafu, Zanetti, Aldair, Nesta and Canavaro all in one league.

The underrated Luigi Di Baggio.

Basically the ideal defensive midfielder. He was both able to break apart opposition attacks and control the tempo of his teams play, showing an ability to play the ball on during quick passages of play, whilst also being able to slow the game down when necessary.
