Chema Aragón, DD of Racing, on Pablo García:
"He seemed to be done with ARSENAL and we were coming in too on loan"
"Yesterday they change it and it becomes a shared ownership transfer"

Pretty good, 7/10 for now, could go up depending on how the signings perform.

Outgoings were strong, got rid of everyone we needed to, which is rare for the club.

5/10 for me, was looking for inspiration or something to make me look forward to tuning in but the club completely failed on that front.

Arteta and Berta aren’t on the same page I don’t think.

Functional signings that should work, not the worst window we’ve seen. If I cared that much about the sales I’d bump up my score but I don’t watch spreadsheets every weekend.

And now you don’t have to watch Martinelli either

Yeah, that has to be taken into consideration when looking at rating the entire window
To me that is only true if you actually upgrade on the players you get rid of. A lot will depend upon injuries in attack on how we view this window. I could imagine if we have few injuries, then it will look favourable, but the opposite is true if we have a higher level of injuries.

I don't want to hear we were unlucky with injuries in attack this year, we placed ourselves in that position where we are potentially exposed.

Gave it a 5/10. Expected more but do understand we were looking to take it up a level and the market is somewhat bare in the departments we're looking to upgrade.

Grade could go up depending on how Tzolis performs along with the rest of the new boys.

Yah that’s the bit that worries me. Too many stories of them valuing certain players differently etc

It was an “okay” transfer window. The defence and midfield got the quality depth they needed for rotation, and we also managed to get rid of some deadwood. We failed to strengthen the attack, though, so for me it was a 7/10 window. At least we didn’t sign some Alvarez crap just for the sake of signing someone.
