Just seen Alonso been sacked, such a shame because I really rate the guy highly and he'll now probably end up in the PL at Liverpool or United, possibly even City.
Madrid really shouldn't be going for managers like Alonso who generally needs a bit of time to build and get things together. At this point they probably have too many players who don't work hard enough also, all their attackers are players who think they are the one who doesn't need to work and that's a disaster in this day and age, the best teams can generally just afford one of these kinds of players in a team and Madrid often has 2 or 3 of them.
Hopefully he gets a job in Italy or Germany before a PL club gets him because hell probably turn a club around who I'll give him time.

Madrid was probably never the right club for a project like Alonso. If you hire someone like him you have to give him time and they don't do that at Real Madrid.
At that club they just need someone to massage all the divas egos.

Arteta is a better man manager with kids tbf.

Managing mature superstars with massive egos is almost a different sport.

What I will say is that Arteta has had guys like Havertz who won a CL with Chelsea or Ødegaard from Real Madrid and they’ve loved playing for him.

Leverkusen looks like it all came together in terms of having an absolutely OP with underrated older guys like Xhaka, Hradecky, Grimaldi and Andrich.

Then guys who went to big CL clubs afterwards like Tah, Wirtz, Frimpong and Stanisic. I think it’s similar to 2019 Ten Hag when the stars aligned squad wise. He might be a good manager but almost definitely not a great one.

Would be some heel turn if Luis Enrique moves to Real especially as he refused to sign a new deal at PSG.

I very much doubt it’ll happen though. R.Madrid’s luck is that the two WC managers who could potentially leave this summer (Pep & Enrique) are off the cards.

No chance there. One's a Catalan nationalist & the other's more Catalan than that guy

There’s a video of Alonso being ignored by Mbappe after the Barca defeat and the other players walk off with Mbappe. Writing was on the wall after that.
Madrid will be a massive toxic environment to go into for any manager now, they’ve got so many huge egos that all have main character syndrome.
Unless they bring in Zidane or Klopp, it won’t end well.
It’s also bad for us if Alonso goes to Pool or City in the summer!

I mean he already played for Madrid before playing for Barca so this would just be moving full circle doing the reverse as a manager. If Kylian was smart, he would be trying to get the move to happen after watching Enrique manage with Dembele what he was trying to do with Mbappe.

Real Madrid would be on route to a club managed like Manchester United if they wouldn't play in La Liga.

Perez manages like he is still living in 2010, the club was saved by legendary players in the last years and it was impossible to replace them.

Ancelotti gave them all freedom, but tactically the big clubs surpassed them already. Now the club wanted to go a new route with Alonso and everyone realized, that the players are having to much power for a change like this.

Arbeloa will be there for months too only.

The media at Madrid is so toxic and always love creating trouble they still competing for title still in cup and in good position in cl if manutd at thier place we'd be hearing non stop praise lol. But agree both clubs look outdated what keep Madrid going is simply they extreme rich and can get any elite players they want but it's hell to manage even strong character like mourinho hate it

Arsenal Quotes

"Arsenal come streaming forward now in surely what will be their last attack.

A good ball by Dixon, finding Smith for Thomas, charging through the midfield... It's up for grabs now! Thomas! Right at the end!

What an unbelievable climax to the League season"

Brian Moore on the Thomas' winning goal at Anfield in 1989
