Don't understand why we sent him out on loan to sit on the bench. He could've done that at Arsenal.

He's an 18 yo kid with barely any first team experience. He's at a CL club, surely he needs to earn the trust of Naglesmann before he waltzes into the starting XI no?

Sure, but he could've earned the trust of Emery if he was here. We're not overloaded with talent on the wings. This way he'll have to prove himself to Naglesmann and then come back here and prove himself all over again. He could've got Welbeck's minutes, we know what welbecks level is and he hasn't signed a contract.

I honestly wasn't that bothered that he didn't play v Dortmund. This is a far better opportunity for him - a lower middling Bundesliga side for him to acquaint himself within this league a bit more. He's already shown a glimpse with his goal, now he gets a significant amount of game time here to really show and prove.
It'll be a good litmus test to see how ready he is for league competition, this is why he left on loan. Games like this. The Dortmunds, Bayerns and Leipzigs will come.

Like Nagelsmann said after the transfer, that he could play there.
Some rotation in Hoffenheims squad. Even their Nr.1 is not playing, strange.
They are leading 1:0, but think it will be a difficult one for them.

Yeah looks like a very even game. Good experience for Reiss. He's doing OK. Some nice touches and passes but conservative so far. Could have gone foe goal a few mins ago but decided on a mishit cross.

He's doing well. Playing nice passes, making good runs into space either to receive or draw players. One thing I am not seeing him do much is dribble. He's playing a quite conservative game but he's not looking out of his depth and is contributing well. Want to see more attack from him. Some dribbling and shooting.

Not expecting him to eget much minutes against either of Dortmund, Bayern or Leipzig. Have to see what he does against the less heralded Bundesliga teams - has to make it impossible to drop him.
He was decent without doing anything particularly eye-catching after playing in midfield the other day. Got hooked for experience. He needs to play further forward, not sure midfield is the best use of his abilities - but he wants to be a #10 so he'd better start showing out deeper on the field.
I have faith he'll eventually become a bonafide starter, he just needs to deliver in attacking situations as that's his bread and butter. Managed to do so in the first game, just needs to do that more.
