I’m not worried about this. If anything Arsenal will drop the valuation towards the end of the window and Reiss will go.

Reiss seems like a comfort zone sort of guy tbh.

Really if he was a bit more motivated for minutes etc he'd have pushed to leave a couple of years ago. Him signing that new contract told you all you needed to know really.

I like the guy a lot but it's not just talent that makes a top player, it's having the determination and drive and willingness to get out of your comfort zone at times.

If we can't get more than 10m I would loan him to Leicester & let him play.
If he has a good season in the Prem could be worth double that in 12 months.
Even if he has a bang average season he should still retain value circa 10m.

Now, I don't know what Leicester has offered in salary and if it's true, but if we assume it is, what a joke this guy is. You have an opportunity to get your football career back on track and start playing again, but you don't want to take a pay cut? Come on, no sympathy for this guy.

That's why I have so much respect for Willian; he could have stayed and collected money, but he chose to leave. Respect.

Willian had a career's worth of top level income before he did that. Reiss is on squad player wages at best and there's no guarantee this next move isn't his last to a PL level club.

I think he's on big money you know

I can't see him leaving personally, I just don't see enough ambition from him.

Summerville to West Ham now confirmed...which means another window closes for Reiss. It's likely going to be a late window season long dry loan

Sure, I understand, but according to various sources, Nelson earns around £80,000-90,000 a week. I don't think he will have any difficulties managing on say £50,000 a week and, he gets to play regularly. In my opinion he lacks ambition. But I don't blame him really, it's a comfortable situation for him. But he got to start playing football, thats the most important thing and he'll not do that at Arsenal.

Football is a job. Not every player will make it to the top. Reiss surely knows this, build up generational wealth whilst you can.

No one will care if he is a bit part player at Leicester or West Ham in 20 years time. He will be a forgotten player.

It's funny how on talent alone Nelson is probably the best out of ESR, Eddie, and him - and now he'll be very had to move on.

Wait what.

Are people really throwing shade for someone not agreeing to take a 40% haircut on their salary?

What?

Arsenal Quotes

I was receiving offers from many other clubs and declining them all, even the most tempting ones. Juventus, Real Madrid, PSG contacted me, Bayern, France, England...I am happy to have been able to say no to more glory, more money, and to have been guided only by the idea of loyally serving the club. I had knitted myself a soul in Red and White.
