True. When your midfielders are dead and you start to imagine your defenders playing as midfielders. It’s not a good endorsement of your midfielders
When you change the personnel and the same issues persist, there’s a better explanation

Pretty sure they meant 50 euros. 7 up front with 43 over the next 6 years, assuming they activate the optional buy clause after a 3 year loan where we cover his entire salary.

Highest level of club football and people just want to move players around to positions they never played. It doesn't even work that way at the lowest levels of football. There are exceptions to every rule but generally it's football manager nonsense.

Selling Calafiori for any amount of money would be a waste. Imagine how many women don't like football. Then put a picture of Calafiori in an Arsenal shirt in front of them and we have new a bigger fanbase than Real Madrid.

@db10_therza and I were ahead of the curve in appreciating him while everyone else was moaning about his injuries but there's absolutely a price where selling him would make sense to fund an actual attacker rather than us continuing to rely on him to make us function well in the final third. 50m might not be it but 60 or 70 and a conversation would need to be had because that's a big chunk of money for a match winner at LW for example.

Regardless, I don't see him leaving us for a few years, let alone to go back to Italy. He's too ambitious. His next move might be to one of the 2 big Spanish clubs.

If Cala Yildiz straight swap, get it done asap. Then get an LB to compete with Hincapie/MLS.
If proven good LB in EPL :
Lewis Hall (Newcastle), 21 years old England international, 2 years as main LB, has played well in EPL & UCL.
If going cheaper LB to spend more at CF/CM/2nd LW :
Joaquin Seys (Brugge), 21 years old Belgian international, 2 years as main LB, has played well in UCL, has also play RB (around 30%) so can also play RB if White is sold.

Organised crime is one of the reasons why Italian clubs are still relatively poor. For each game, Ultra's extort clubs for thousands of tickets as a form of “protection money.” They also control the areas around stadiums to generate revenue. Ultra groups can create such a hostile environment that it discourages casual fans from attending matches.

It is also linked to the economic situation in Italy. Many people no longer go to stadiums to save money and are used to watching football on TV. The stadiums are often outdated, which does not encourage fans to attend games.

Furthermore, Italian football has a reputation for being “boring” and less marketable to a global audience.

Past scandals involving bribery of referees and the dominance of Juventus have not helped either.

Still a hard no to selling Cala. We should have enough depth to keep him fit, but Arteta needs to make sure he rotates him now he has the options. He's too good a player to let go, especially to a scandalous club like Juve with their 2 year loans and bought refs.
Sell him and get Lewis Hall.

Clown clubs?
AC Milan 7 European Cup/Champions League titles and 2 UEFA Cup Winners' Cups
Inter 3 European Cup/Champions League titles and 3 UEFA Cups
Juventus 2 European Cup/Champions League titles, 3 UEFA Cups and 1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cups

And Arsenal?
1 UEFA Cup Winners' Cup

AC Milan, Inter and Juventus are European giants if you compare them with Arsenal.

Why are you so arrogant, shall I say ignorant?
All these 3 (AC Milan, Juventus and Inter) are bigger than Arsenal, however you look.

Yea and Ajax have won the CL 4 times. Historically all great teams. But none of them will win a CL in the next 30 years based on current trends. They aren't rich enough

Has Arsenal won it even once?
Honestly I don't know where this sense of entitlement comes from.
Arsenal are nobody in Europe.

When (if) we ever win it, we can discuss.

Italians have sorted out these scandals immediately, Juventus was relegated within 1 year.

City case opened more than 3 years ago, we still don't have verdict.
