Does he make that much of a difference? Would rather have put that 40M towards a forward personally.
for tonight i would say so. it's not even him that makes the difference on the pitch but it's the options he gives us in other positions. could have gone with MLS as a six, rice as a 8 and merino up front.

also can't forget we bought calafiori without having the knowledge we have now. that MLS would be, maybe the best youngster, i have ever seen come through at the club. he is doing incredibly well at left back but we needed a new left back last summer

Squad players that are always injured like this bloke and Tomiyasu are up there with the most annoying players (along with “play him in his best position” types like Foden).

Guys like Saliba, Timber, MLS are knackered because these guys are never off the injury table.
Timber has come off ACL injury last season out today, precaution or not hes played way more football than he should have.

Having Calafiori, Tomiyasu out, added to Tierney injury history and Zinchenko also bad injury history and MA doesnt trust the last two yet all four have constant injuries it's such a waste of resources.

White also now has struggled all season and he didn't look fully fit tonight.

Yeah, I’m pretty sure White’s injuries are a result of him playing week in week out for basically three years with barely any help from Tomi. Felt like the guy was playing injured the majority of last season as well.

This Calafiori bloke is already as squad player now Myles is established. Not sure I see the point in him if he’s constantly injured.

Calafiori is young looks a good player going forward, naturally not a great wide LB defensively.

He was signed with a history of knee issues, him having what two or three already this season. We already have Tomiyasu who could of covered both FB positions and CB, injury prone.

Every transfer is a risk potentially no matter who the player is signing players with poor injury records big transfer fees, big long contracts seems a dice roll loaded well against paying off.

He might be talented but why did we sign someone with such a dubious injury record?
Especially surprising when the absence of injury prone players like Tierney, Partey, Jesus and Tomiyasu have bit Arteta on the arse previously.

This guy could have pulled moments of magic out of his arse during this awful run of form we're on, but he's a ****ing sick note.

Will go largely unnoticed for obvious reasons, but we once again were a lot more threatening with him on the field because of his forward thinking movement. He adds a lot of unpredictability to the team.

Hoping he stays healthy next season and has the type of old new signing effect Timber had this season.
