I always believed if he could stay fit he would be an excellent signing. People in Italy before we signed him really rated him as top young defensive player in their whole system. It was actually a big scandal of sorts how a big English club could come in and steal a young defender of that quality that every big club there had in wishlist. I mean we financially muscled Italian big boys and the player was eager to ditch Italy. If I was Serie A fan I would be furious to

Him being injured constantly didn't help endear him to people either. Hopefully he can stay fit, but good chance we're getting Hincapie for exactly that reason.

That has always been big question with him. If he is healthy he enough with depth we have he will be a monster. Again another reason I don’t get Hincappie buy before another attacker. And I rate him hugely also

I think MLS is going to be used in midfield. That or they are expecting to sell one of our current defenders in the next year and had the opportunity to get this guy now and did it.

I don’t know he seems pretty good as a marauding left side defender.

Hope he doesn't get injured because he's started the season really well.

Reminds me a bit of John Stones in their treble winning season. He's joining the midfield from LB rather than CB, but having a similar influence on the game.
