He is the coach, his job is to prepare them to fly.
What should he say?
"I'm sure we will lose"?

Calamari injured, Timber injured, Tomiasyu injured, Zinchenko crying, etc etc.

Step up confidence-shot Kiwior.

Of course, you need all, to have skillful athletic players, deep squad and excellent coaching staff.

Do you think that Arteta should be blamed for Calafiori's injury?
He has played 386 minutes in 7 Prem matches so far.
You think that this is too much and that the UCL match against Shaktar wasn't important?
There are certain players who should be nursed in the early part of the season. Tierney, Tomi, Calafiori, Jesus, Partey and Timber are all pretty fragile. With White, Timber, Zinny, Tomi and Tierney all injured, playing you transformative and only fit FB in an intense game was a bit mad, especially as he's not used to the intensity of the PL.

I mean… the other way of looking at this is that pretty much all the other options were injured so he had to play?

Zinchenko and kiwior were on the bench last 2 games. There was no reason for him to play so soon after gruelling 90 mins vs Bournemouth

Kiwior could/ should have played, but he’s in Arteta’s **** list after the last game although I think that’s harsh because he was way out of position.

Not sure Zinchenko is fully match fit yet.

Anyway the point is we have a lot of injuries at fb so the last man standing is gonna suffer. That’s just the way it is.

Looks like he trained all last week. Made the bench vs Bournemouth and next game he can’t play? Doesn’t have to be full 90 mins. He could also play Skelly. Just hilarious his lack of rotation will force him to use the players he don’t want to use for a month now. This will always be Arteta problem. He end up disliking a player and he is as good as gone and will tank his value

I have more issues with his lack of rotation when our options are fit, less so now but overall yeah, it’s not great.

No. Kiwi was fit. We had a run of games last season that we never lost when he played. Our tactics should have been adjusted to sensibly accommodate the players we had without risking those with questionable fitness. Or, trust MLS for at least 60 minutes. Or play a back 3. This isn't the same as Wenger losing all four full backs at the same time.

Arsenal Quotes

One of the things I discovered in Japan was from watching sumo wrestling. At the end you can never tell who has won the fight, and who has lost, because they do not show their emotion because it could embarrass the loser. It is unbelievable. That is why I try to teach my team politeness. It is only here in England that everybody pokes their tongue out when they win.
