He's got the x factor and balls that we sometimes miss. You need players like this.

Was on Vinai's payroll; misses 4th place trophy 🏆
Just want him to stay fit for like tow month. He'll never be regular for us if he keep 3 games then miss 3 weeks.

Mikel need to rotate him and MLS

He’s just one of the guys that doesn’t get phased by the occasion / the game state etc. The kind that steps up in adverse moments and frankly we are desperately in need of guys like that which is why I am and always have been rooting for him to overcome the injury problems.

It’s not a coincidence that his 2 goals have come at huge moments for us. That’s just the kind of guy he is. He dgaf. Too many of our other players have a tendency to retreat in to their shells a bit.

Also his movement in the final 3rd is just excellent.
This is such a great point. He really is insane, you can tell nothing phases him

To borrow a term Emery uses a lot he's certainly a "protagonist" on the pitch, which managers love, even if it comes with some erraticism.

Great game when he came on. Still think lewis would be better suited against whatever fast tricky winger man city will have on that left side. Plus he's really press reisistant and become really good at progressing play from deep. Cala got done by savinho for their first goal last time but he did score a great goal to make up for it

I think people are unnecessarily harsh on him and Merino because we all expected a goal scorer and got two good players who aren’t attackers. That is kind of bozo we have at manager; he likes Defenders who score and strikers who don’t.

As for Calafiori he has a lot of ability if he can stay healthy he really has adapted really well for a defender to a new a league. People shouldn’t blame either him or Merino who was a mid level squad buy for why Mik decided to not buy a striker and double down on kai

Great post. This guy just has that quality and balls in the final third even if he isn't as good defending as MLS or Timber.

His winner on saturday proved his goal earlier in the season against City was no fluke.

He's got a striker's left foot this lad.

Still shaky warrior because of injuries but I saw some potential last game, his one touch passing is sound and he was aggressive when needed. Rooting for him so MLS can play midfield.

Could this puppy become an LCM for us ? So far I am far for impressed with his attacking prowess compared to his defensive work (especially for an LB)

Do you see more midfield potential in Cala or MLS? Personally MLS has the ability to thread a little pass which is a pretty good tool that Rice, Merino both don’t really have.
