Riccardo Calafiori: The Italian Stallion

I think it is a bit difficult to see where he fits these days. MLS is probably our main LB, and we have our main CB pairing. Obviously you need cover, but he has real competition.

Didn’t Calafiore mostly play as a center back before joining us? MLS might end up playing in midfield at some point as well. These guys are not necessarily rivals at LB as they are good enough to play other positions.
Last season he played predominantly as left CB.

Super model willing to do the dirty work. A rare breed. His ball carrying for the 2nd goal is something we need. Let’s hope he stays healthy.

Indeed we are, there are a few of us out there though...Donald Trump is another one of us, that's about it right now though.

That's fine seeing as he's injury-prone

They can both play man. Give Partey a rest and try MLS in the 6. He’s ready.

But yeah in general the chaos factor that Calafiori brings to our attack is something else.

I wouldn’t even call it chaos. He’s just a proper footballer, very intelligent, a Wenger player if you like, always moving, always looking to combine, smart touches and passes. Even yesterday, look at how he was dribbling at pace into traffic but still had the composure and awareness to not release the ball until Leo got himself onside.

He just makes things happen, injects tempo into our game.

I think with Cala are also making load management , probably also with specific works with physio with target to make his body "less injury prone" for next years
If he will remain healthy we will have special player;)

Yeah chaos might not be the right word but I was thinking of the positions he takes up and runs he makes - they make the opposition sweat - he’s a problem.

Feel like we’re the only 2 that consistently have rated him. Everyone else here just keeps talking about how he looks.

It's about predictability. He makes us less predictable because he likes taking risks out there.

I'm the one who wish listed him before anyone was talking about him and defended him throughout though, you have to give me my credit.

Arsenal Quotes

When we won the league at Tottenham, they came back 2-2 in the last-minute of the game, and they're celebrating - because they're happy to draw against us, obviously. And I remember saying to Mauricio Tarricco who injured himself celebrating in front of me: "Do you realise we only need a point to be Champions?" And he was utterly shocked. So I said "Yes. Now watch as we're going to celebrate on your pitch. Bye bye!"
