Spot on. He's useless.

Not seen worse CB performances than he has shown these last couple of matches.

We really have the worst set of CB's ever at the club
He is genuinely one of the worst I have ever seen. Chambers must be scratching his head, never in his dreams could he have pulled the **** show Holding's been serving us.

He had couple of decent performances last year, fair enough, but it's starting to become clear it was a fluke purple patch. Doesn't make sense to blame Wenger or his partners either, he's been the same consistent level of awful throughout the whole summer. Turns out when uou pay 2mil, a 2mil player is what you get if you are lucky.

Yeah lets write off the 21 year old CB who's already helped us win a trophy. Only has 15-16 years ahead of him at the top level.

He should not be starting at a club of our magnitude. Age should be no factor with that in mind, you're either good enough or not. That's what Wenger says.

Sure, he should not be first choice at the moment, but he clearly has a big future. No way should be be writing him off or getting rid.

He is one year younger than Chambers who is on another planet compared to Holding. Yet most people, including Wenger evidently, think Chambers isn't good enough. What does that say about Holding?

I mean honestly, the kid has had two bad games for us out of what, 10-15 or so? At 20-21  And at a time when the entire team is struggling to do the basics. But no, he's clearly not good enough.

I love you guys but that is ****ing bollocks.

Attacking a youngin when Özil and Alexis can't be arsed, much less a buffoon manager, not to mention the money-extracting board.

Some on here just don't wanna look at the state we are in.

Rob Holding should come good with time, needs to take his lumps.

Some of you guys getting on his back is really just mental. He put in some great performances last season, He doesnt just lose that ability. He will be a great defender in any team. Your all saying Chambers is on another level.....Yeah for Boro he did quite well where he wasnt exposed, but for Arsenal he was awful.....theme here?

Holding a 21 year old kid with not much experience, left completely on his own out on the side of a back 3, forced into a constant race against Mane or Salah, left isolated to defend one on one with them constantly, Being closed down so he could pass out of the back. It was happening from the first minute. Did the wing backs get pulled back to help him out? bet your ass they didnt.

Give any of our defenders the protection they should be getting from the midfield and wing backs and they will look like different players.

Holding > Chambers: pace, height, strength, air
Chambers > Holding: dribbling
Holding = Chambers: passing, positioning. (both are inexperienced), but acceptable with their age.

Holding is just physically better than Chambers in every way.

And wenger was stupid to put Kos/ Monreal/ Mustafi in the middle of a 3 CB formation. The one in the middle needs to be strong in the air more than pace. Other than Per, we only have Holding who is strong enough in the air. All our other CBs back have been beaten in the air repeatedly over the years because they are either too short or not enough strength to push of the opponents. Even Torres(Chelsea) can beat Koscielny in a cross. Look at Jagielka, he is not fast and tall, but at least he strong enough restrict his marked player to out-jump him.

Harsh. Any defender in world football would look dogshit in this arsenal team. Look at the shape when we are not in possession! He's been poor but at 21 playing in this spineless team is not doing him good.

He could be good but too much too soon.

We are about to see another young player with potential be destroyed by Wenger. He prob would have been better elsewhere for the sake of his development

Chambers>Holding: Tackling, aerial ability
Holding>Chambers: Passing, positioning

Holding is weak in the air, far more so than Mustafi or Kos. His strength is his composure on the ball and tactical intelligence.

You must be kidding me, everytime there is a crossing in, holding managed to clear it. When it is mustafi or kos, you know we r in danger. That is exactly what happened in Liverpool's first goal against us, kos failed to clear a simple ball. Any 6" 2 CB would have handled those crosses without doubt.

Look at Holding in aerial duels mate. Height isn't the same as aerial ability.
Only one who could've had that ball is Per.

Holding and Chambers should be backup to our 3 starting senior centre backs anyway. If you play Kos, Mustafi and another good defender (say Van Dijk for example) then there's no problem. But instead of completing our back 3, Wenger is benching and maybe selling one of them

'Holding's first-half stats don't make for good reading: three fouls, no clearances, no interceptions, no tackles won and no blocks. He was replaced at the break by Sead Kolasinac, who levelled the game with a fine volley.'

The hype this guy got last season after a handful of decent performances was ridiculous  He might have some potential but he definitely hasn't convinced me that he's Arsenal quality yet. And he's been a bloody trainwreck this season so far.
