if we sell/sit van persie, then who takes our direct freekicks? fact of the matter is that having a freekick threat makes a huge difference in terms of scoring those extra goals, as well as making teams think twice about fouling us near the box. as it stands now, teams might as well foul us because we'll just turn the ball over after the freekick. where's our cronaldo, gerrard, henry?

Exactly Biggus he isn't that much of a threat we really have nobody in the team who is every set piece we have is a waste your disappointed to see us get it, he is no real threat he can hit a decent one like one in 100 but very rarely good enough.

Please. Hes scored some cracking goals from free kicks in the past vs Wigan, Sunderland, Fulham, Blackburn, Everton etc and not to mention his goals from free kicks for Holland.

In addition that his delivery from corners and indirect free kicks used to be very good.

Hes in **** form but stop exaggerating.

He is our best set piece taker but thats not a reason to keep him because nobody is that good, he has scored some good freekicks but very rarely actually works the keeper when he is taking them the goals aren't that common and even hit the target or getting the keeper to make a save isn't that common.

It used to. There were times when he used to hit some pretty good free kicks. Of course there are times when he used to sky them and make a fool of himself, but that was his style of taking free kicks, even Ronaldo gets them horribly wrong sometimes because he goes for power as well.

NB - Im taking about RvP pre-08/09, off late his free kick technique has deteriorated and it really must stop.

NB 2 - Whats up with our short corner routine? Its extremely annoying to watch.

oh don't get me started we wasted so many yesterday like that we are already poor enough as it is we can't afford to be doing stuff like that. I get they want a better angle but people close them down now we do it all the time so we can't even get a cross in which is supposed to be the benefit of a corner a free cross.

He tries to play too much 'Hollywood' football where far simpler play, which may not be as aesthetically nice on the eye, would be more effective. For example, when he had the chance in front of goal he should have played the percentages more instead of trying to hit it with the outside of his foot. When its comes off, it is beautiful, but its not an efficent form of football. And he has definately lost a yard of pace, not that he was Linford Chrisite before.

His corners with cesc are the only thing tolarable about him at the moment, until he decides to take them with his right foot.

    This guy is terrible.
Im not saying he always was and always will be- but at the moment he is an eyesore.

He wasn't too bad against Newcastle or Blackburn was he! He played out of position against Kiev, didn't play at Bolton or against Sheffield United.

But he has a bad performance against Hull and suddenly he's playing like sh*t? I said earlier he's inconsistent and he can be frustrating. But he was instrumental in beating Newcastle, scored against Blackburn and was key in our goal against Hull whilst also fashioning a couple of chances which he sadly didn't put away.

If this is him being terrible then I can't f*cking wait to see him on form.

It's time for Bendtner to get a run in the side, he looks way more dangerous right now than van Persie.

Nah Ade and Bendtner don't mix- too similar, better Ade/Vela or Ade/Theo.
