Hard to read between the lines on this one... my guess is that RVP was a true offer but AW is pissed now and is making Feyenoord sweat it out.

Frey looks like it is pure fabrication - I doubt we were ever seriously in the Frey hunt...

I really hope we don't spend anything during the current transfer window, so we can save money for the summer. We've got £10m now and by the summer we'll have around £20m or £25m on players.. we can get Van Persie or someone by then hopefully.

I hear you Mood... but would you say the same thing if I asked you:

Would you rather:

1) Spend nothing now and have a 50% chance of winning the EPL this year

2) Spend 5-10 million now and have a 70% chance of winning EPL this year

I personally think getting one striker now to help with our striker issues (and a solid long-term purchase) PLUS adding a striker and a CB in the summer would be the most solid move.

Yes he's definitely better than RvP. I saw RvP and he's just a bit of a lazy bloke. Technically OK but did not show enough hunger.

Van Persie to Tottenham; sad to see him waste his career.

I still think that he has a the talent to play for arsenal, just the mentality, that is the question.

But 2.5 million is not that much IMO
