This is the only signing that would make this a good window for us imo. Don’t see any other game changer who could potentially be available in the transfer market.

They really need to push to ****ing boat for this player now.

Yeah we are not City who can afford to have 200-300k p/w wages just on the bench
Sort of agree except our 200-300k p/w is in the treatment room. Would love to have them on the bench. If we get this window right, 200-300k on the bench is exactly what we'll have at least fir next season.

Wasn't there a period where Chelsea literally just looked at who we were scouting and just went ahead got them; this was in the early Abromovic period where they were just firing $100 bills out of a cannon everywhere.
True. We were forced to go for our third choice targets. It's amazing we played as well for so long

Barcelona are using the same patterns to beat our press. I don't think we should be pressing in the wide areas as its clear what they're trying to by baiting us into a corner while leaving tons of room in the middle of the pitch.

This guy is class. The star quality signing we need. Not even Gyok is in the same mould.

Look how dangerous that PSG front line was, bring him in. Saka needs more space, if we f this up, Arsenal will never be taken seriously.

I bet we get Kinder Bueno or whatever his name is.

I was listening to a podcast from one of the Arsenal journo's Tom Canton who was really agitated about this - saying we should be adding to Nelli / Trossard wrt Rodrygo. Ridiculous line of thinking; players are humans, this isn't FM - one of Tross / Nelli will have their minutes severely curtailed and those two are good enough to be playing week in/week out somewhere. You don't have three LWs on the books, that's madness. IF we can get Rodrygo, one of Nelli / Tross is definitely going.
Probably why Trossard getting a pay rise to keep him happy.

I think I’d be willing to except Delap at his release clause if we could get this guy. I feel like Rodrygo is the only attacker we’ve been linked with that would guarantee taking our game up a level. Delap scored 12 in 36 for Ipswich this season so surely he’d get 15+ playing for us with Saka on his right and Rodrygo on his left. Going to be really disappointing when this obviously doesn’t happen.

Liam Delap is the son of the Rory Delap; we should be using that relationahip to get Rory to help Partey with those long throws.

This is why we’re clearly selling Martinelli if Rodrygo arrives.

He’s on 180k until 2027 so there’s salary and time pressure there for someone whose minutes will drop drastically.
Any idea of the type of clubs who would be interested in Martinelli? He would want 200k at least?

Maybe someone like Villa/ Newcastle in PL but wages might be tight for them with FFP. Also he would be highest paid player at both and it would dependent upong someone leaving.

One of the bigger Italian clubs? Inter or Napoli have CL and plumber money that they didnt spend in January. Again not sure there salaries go that high.

Villa is def an option for Martinelli, especially if they get CL football. Would also suit their game very much.
Newcastle have Gordon and would not be interested.

Maybe Chelsea (their LW option is very dreadful). Sterling & Mudryk assuming Sancho is going back to Utd. They only have Neto and Madueke but both prefer to play RW instead of LW.

Italy not an option, unless Leao goes to Bayern and Milan is in the market for a LW. Napoli targetting Garnacho and Martinelli is no Inter player.

Barca could be an option instead of Diaz.

Why would we sell our only player with pace?
Think liverpool would be all over him if he was avaliable, and he would probably do very well there

Yeah if we sell Martinelli I hope it's outside the PL. He would be a nightmare for teams at Liverpool as they play to his strengths.

What is the explanation behind Rodrygo's poor G/A output in La Liga ? He historically does well in CL, but the sample size of games is smaller there.

Has he not been playing in his weaker position (RW) because his favoured LW position is taken by Vini?
