Imagine comparing to Alexis Sanchez (who out scored the likes Greizmann, Neymar, Benzema, Villa and Bale in his final season of La Liga) and Özil (lead La Liga, PL, Bundesliga l, The world cup, Champions League all in assists) to the BTEC Robinho.

GDeep was right, standards have dropped.
you are right , just take a look this comment below 👇 👇

Eh? If Rodrygo gives us close to the numbers Sanchez was hitting we could comfortably get away with Havertz at CF.

What’s the issue? My reply was someone saying Rodrygo could basically be like Sanchez and if Rodrygo is capable of hitting those numbers, along with Saka on the opposite wing alone gives us an incredible output for goals and chance creation.
Or are you not old enough to remember how good Sanchez actually was in his time here?

mancity won epl back to back for 2 season in row in 20/21 and 21/22 even with that situation but mancity in summer 2022 still bought haaland from dortmund, why still bought haaland ?? because they won the league 2 season in row without striker (their winger become goal machine),

so guardiola knows he can & must improve striker position, so that is why he want bought haaland & guess what the result is mancity kiss their first treble in club history in 22/23

what lesson learned from that ??? there is always room for improvement for try reach high standard, don't be satisfy with mindset who mediocre like "if Rodrygo hitting numbers like Sanchez G/A at arsenal then we can keep havertz at striker"

This type of thinking is why we don’t deserve any success. The fact you even entertaining another season with Havertz as main striker is shocking

Rodrygo is fine but he is downgrading coming here. Will we get fully motivated or half arsed Rodrygo?

I rather we start sign the next Rodrygo. Who are this year Neves and Doué?

We have solid squad. We have a room for couple of stallions that we can break down and built them up to their full potential in Arteta system.

Maybe if ManCity has an off year again.
But unlikely it will be good enough.

Also in our current system its difficult to get such output numbers from wingers.
CF and even 10 is a must.

Actually there is a case that our wingers are essentially wingbacks all the time as they are on the touchline all the time.
With MLS inverting in attack the structure is similar to how 5 at the back works.

luis campos as psg sporting director did very well, credit to him for help enrique build psg squad
Also credit to him for making PSG more likeable to cheer for. They was always the villain in my eyes, but it changed completely after removing all those overpaid divas.

If Rodrygo is available I feel you have to try. Strikes me as the type of player that would move and then look levels above what he showed at Real Madrid when he’s no longer the “weak link” in that front three. Am I right in thinking that he’s a LW who was moved to the right to make way for their other attackers?

Yes. He’s a right footed attack, than naturally prefers the left. He’s played centrally before as well, so would offer an Ødegaard alternative.

I think Pep will be all over him.
