Why do Liverpool have to do the most when they clearly get rejected?

Writing essays about team fit and other targets when it’s clear Jude and now Lavia didn’t fancy going there lol.

Strong “I dumped her” energy.
Yeah, although it's a valid point about having Bajcetic already. Two talented under 20 year old midfielders is not optimal.

Lavia isn't the one. We are a Declan Rice injury or suspension away from:

Jorginho/Lavia
Ødegaard Havertz

We need a high energy 8 rather than a 6 so that player can play instead of Havertz or Ødegaard in situations where Rice might not be available.

Lavia is the one. EPL proven/adjusted who can rotate with Jorginho and grow.

Jorginho won't stay at Arsenal if there are no promises of game-time. And he clearly wants to stay. Arteta wants him to stay.

Jorginho is the 2nd cover for Rice (who has been very very durable). He showed since January that his strengths are bigger than his weaknesses.

What do you mean rotate with Jorginho? Rice is our 6, with Jorginho back up.

Jorginho & Lavia being Rice cover is no problem at all. Jorginho is still a great player and Lavia is already EPL ready while being a huge prospect. Arsenal isn't at City level in depth yet.

With rotating I mean both will play enough, but Lavia more if he plays better than Jorginho.

In addition there could be Timber & Elneny who can cover DMF position, with Rice being very durable.

I don't understand what is your point here?

The point is even if we sell Partey, we have two 6s in Rice and Jorginho. Like you said, Rice is durable.

What we lack is a more box to box alternative to Havertz. In the scenario Rice isn’t available, would you be happy with:

Jorginho
Ødegaard Havertz

Or in your case
Lavia
Ødegaard Havertz

Both of these combination look weak to me. I have no issue with Jorginho coming into the side, but we can’t have both Ødegaard and Havertz in front of him, hence, we need an 8 more than a 6.

Jorginho
Ødegaard Havertz
This means no midfield strength
Opposition will have a free run in midfield

Agree. Without Rice, we can't use two attack 8. Im ok if we use
Ødegaard - Rice - Havertz.
If we sign Lavia, i think he will play at 8. Ødegaard/Havertz - Jorginho - Lavia
I think if you sit Rice, you need an all action midfielder in place of Havertz place to make up for Jorginho's relative lack of mobility. Lavia could serve that role, though it would be a big ask for a young guy. He always struck more of a box to box 8 rather than a 6 that just sits deep.

I think Lavia can play 6 and 8. When you look at his game he is press resistant and can advance the ball when we are up against it, I would imagine a midfield with Rice and Lavia would be pretty dynamic.

If Saliba is old enough, Lavia can be a big player too.
