Ridiculous how unlucky they were with playing Argentina at this stage, I would have fancied them against anyone else excluding France. Cape Verde going out and also the way Senegal threw the game is kind of disappointing especially when you see rubbish like Egypt somehow making it to the R16. Probably one of the weakest out of the African teams.

I'm not usually one to stand up for them (given my complex relationship with them due to having relatives who are Half Egyptian) but if they were truly weak, they wouldn't have gotten out of their group where they were better than ALL the teams and just got past a good Australia.

even cape verde first debut at world cup play good football and good counter attack, imagine if they have at least 1 quality attacker then they will beat argentina

so after won the league arteta need change our style next season & he can go back to 23/24 or 22/23 season, we have way better squad than cape verde especially we will buy quality player in transfer window

unity and hard work that most important thing in national teams it's not like club competition Germany failed this world cup because they didn't have that and they streets ahead of Cape verde quality wise

Didn’t even run out Logan Costa who’s by far their best player as well.

I remember seeing them at the 2023 AFCON I think and they were impressive there. Absolutely battered RSA but lost on penalties.

What I think is that they have had a really consistent squad with what seems like a really good tactician.
