I know Herrington is an 18 year old CB...but what's the point of Kroenke having a US team if the one talent his team has won't go to Arsenal? If everyone else is gonna have feeder clubs, lets use ours properly.

Rather have Herrington than Konsa

Unless your CB is a freak like Sergio Ramos, he has no business near the first or last pen.

Someone could make a nice YouTube video out of this. It has been rampant so far.

Also, as @Clrnc said the other day, players keep underutilising the middle of the goal during pens. Salah today, and Ronaldo yesterday played it to perfection.

Exactly my thoughts. Has some Saliba like qualities as a youngster. 6 foot 5, very pacey and very calm on the ball. Gives me the same feeling as Saliba did as a youngster about never being in a panic and always having time.

Hes not ready for Arsenal now but i was hoping he could be signed and loaned out for 2 seasons. Barcelona and pool put in offers but Korenke's want more i think.

could even sell to arsenal and loan him back to Colorado Rapids for a year...then to a bigger loan after. Get some Arsenal fans kinda hyped up to see a future player in person in the USA (= more money for KSE).

My theory on this is that players do not want to miss down the middle especially in a World Cup because you get memed to death.

Don’t know if keepers are better at reading them now which puts guys off in training but it’s noticeable.

Disappointing PS result for Socceroos this am, silly decisions by Popovic imo, Egypt new about Ryan & looked at his footage PS's how others have got it past him. They wouldn't have had any footage against Beach & Beach has probably been our player of the tournament.

Another issue with our Shootout, we didn't have many forwards on to be able to take them, Poppa & our coaching staff are too defensively mind setted, our good forwards get subbed off so they aren't able to take them, we've always had a record of giving our defence & CDM's the penalties. Time to get a new attack minded frame imo, always played out for a draw, not a win after an equaliser. Disappointment for Herrington, we can't necessarily have a go at him because he hit the cross bar, better then Souttars went well over. Pressure on an 18yo.

Yeah biggest disappontment for me is supposedly we are the fittest side but we didnt even attempt to show that in extra time. We didnt deserve to go through based on extra time, egypt was making the running and we just sat back.

I cant believe that given we were playing for penalties, that was the plan
we had in place once we got there. Ryan has a relatively poor penalty record but actually Izzo our second keeper has a very good record.

Popavic keeps on saying we are earning respect with our performances in this tournament, but i dont actually think that is the case amongst the world media and fans. This was just a par level tournament for me.
