We've got 2 midfielders out on loan in the Premier League already who've performed better than Berge has shown this season. Would be more pissing money against the wall paying that kind of fee. Guendouzi another we already have on the books who's more talented than him.

If you're shopping at Sheff United, get Bogle. Berge is a good player, but I think there are better options.
I've got nothing against Bogle as a long term replacement for Bellerin but you've also got to think about the other options like Lamptey from Brighton & Aarons from Norwich, isn't Hakimi from Inter also another potential replacement that has been brought up? Obviously there are quite a few potential replacements in England for Bellerin.

Onto Berge, I wouldn't be against going after him just as a potential squad player, not necessarily a top 1st choice CM player though, just a decent squad option.

We don’t need squad players. We need starters. 2-3 starters than can lift the quality of the team
I agree. Players that can lift the team straight away (overall quality, morale and mood), even if it means the 2022 window is a bit naff. Need to get back into Europe ASAP.

Would happily look at loans and free agents too - wouldn't sneeze at players like Alaba, Donnarumma, or Depay even if their wages are massive, for instance. All 3 would probably start.

Haven't seen him play tbh so can't really comment on what he is like. I must say though, the thought of signing a player from a really bad relegated team doesn't excite me. This our level now? Surely we must do better... Central midfield is a very key area we need to strengthen.

Berge is good. He’s just come from a big big injury and he’s rusty as hell. With a good fitness programme and a preseason he’ll be a good fit for us.
