he's still owed around £10m in wages for the next two years. Not sure how many teams would be willing to take on that contract.

Why not just give him away for free? Surely it's better than loaning him and taking half the wage burden

Loan where we substitute wages makes the most financial sense. If we release on a free we have to pay all we ow

Shalke will give him a decent contract and might probably match his current wage if he goes there on a free. It becomes a case of staying here and being a bit part player and going to Shalke and being a starter there at the same wage he had here

Schalke have no money. They have to sell to buy. Doubt they’d be keen on taking Kola’s wages. If there is anything to this, it’ll be a loan move with us retaining a good chunk of his wages.

Doubt he leave, his wages will be a major sticking point. Not sure I even want to put Saka back there, he's a forward and a damn good one at that.

Very poor defender tbh positionally and 1 on 1, has good spells going forwards every now and then, makes some nice powerful runs but generally not good enough when we are trying to hold possession. I'd be happy to see him move on to get his ridiculous wage off the bill, but does that mean that Saka is the backup for LB? Saka had a good run at wing back but not sure he should be relied upon to cover LB in a 4.

Is he really that bad? I know he was woeful at the end of the season playing CB in a back 3, but that's not his position.

He is a LWB who can play LB, and i thought he did a decent job there under Emery in the first half of the season. Not spectacular obviously, but a decent backup

Kola is similiar to AMN that the position he is best in(wingback) will not really be used going forward and to play in defense his tactical awareness is not good enough.
Would be a good player for a team like Inter though, as wingback he can be devastating at times(was our only weapon under Emery)

No loan, he is good enough to fetch 10mil despite wages.

He had some absolutely awful games last season... Really really bad. Rediculous wage for someone so dodgy.
