the problem we signed Kola when Wenger tried to use the 3-4-2-1 and Kola was prefect in wingback position he scored few goals and got few assists even with Emery first season he ended up with 10 assists.
Think the problem is that some here are solely looking for a stick to hit Edu and Arteta with. So anything will do, including when it really doesn’t make much sense, but there you are.A small fee would be better, but he's on high wages because we got him for nothing. Let him go for nothing and move on. Don't see the problem.
We cannot have that un-versatile players on our squad, that need a specific formation and position to thrive. I'd rather have players like Chambers on the squad than players that need a certain position and tactic to work. Kola is one of those players it seems.the problem we signed Kola when Wenger tried to use the 3-4-2-1 and Kola was prefect in wingback position he scored few goals and got few assists even with Emery first season he ended up with 10 assists.
Good lad to bring around town.
Too Canadian of a reference for this forum, Andrew.I can't even fathom someone offering much more than a sack of yukon gold potatoes for this player.
They are nice potatoes though! Buy them at Traders Joe from time to time…Too Canadian of a reference for this forum, Andrew.
Can Fenerbache pay 2-3m this time look like we heading to another contract cancelation just to let him go
a mini loss we have to pay the remainder of the contract unless he be nice guy lol.Hey at least we're not at a loss here.
Stans gonna have to lay off the organic chicken for a week. The sacrifices he makes for us.a mini loss we have to pay the remainder of the contract unless he be nice guy lol.
He's on £120k or so a week. We're not getting any transfer fee for him, we'll be lucky if we don't have to pay up the majority of his contract for him to leave this summer.
We'll get £3m or so for Mavro, a fairly highly rated young CB on reasonable wages. The likes of Kola and Torreira are write off's, we'd be better off just accepting that and moving on.
Unless we're selling players to other English sides we're not going to be getting any fees close to market value under the financial circumstances most European clubs are under.
From what I read the Mavro deal has a sell on clause. How significant it is the article didn’t say. It's going to be interesting seeing the details for some of these deals when the dust settles from this window. In this market there is a logic for free transfers for older players on high wages (like Kola). Getting £4.5m for Mavro and nothing for Mark McGuiness just seems straight terrible business though, unless we've changed strategy and are inserting significant sell on clauses for young talent. If we are having a clear out with 30% or more sell on's, it could reap some dividends in the future. Hopefully one of the journo's close to the club will come up with some more info on this.
