Arsenal have completed the signing of 19 year old centre-back Semi Ajayi, who previously played for Charlton.

Anyone knows anything about him? Apparently he did not extend his contract with Charlton and the likes of Norwich, Newcastle United, Crystal Palace, Reading, Millwall, Barnsley, Yeovil and Bristol City were after him.

I know nothing about this player, but is it kind of strange that he's only signed a two-year contract?

He's only 19 so the likelihood that he makes a significant first team impact in two seasons has to be pretty slim.

But if it is only for 2 seasons then maybe he's going directly into the first team and will get Capitol One Cup action and will be our 4th/5th choice CB.

I don't know enough about this guy to know where he's ranked in our squad.

Don't know anything about this guy but it looks like another project player. Hope he can develop.

We're good at cb for now and the near future. Kid's got time to develop. Must have some potential so it seems like a good move.

So he's rated 51 on FIFA, about all I know about him. Tall and strong CB.

Scored against blackburn under 21's and also played very well against West Brom, which convinced coaching staff to offer him a 2 year deal.

Sounds as though hes going to be playing more of the reserves/under 21's rather than first team.
