Hey. Yesterday the player of the Croatian national team chanted Glory to Ukraine. This is a cry of the Fascists of the Second World War. The West of Ukraine then betrayed its people. Now, under this slogan, Ukraine is killing children in the Donbas. What you are told in the media, all lies. Mass media in 99% of cases speaking about us. Now the whole of Russia will then be rooting for England. GO England !!! (Fu@ked Google translator)
It's coming home
Each step closer to the trophy has got to add to the pressure on the English players, they mustn't let their nerves get to them that's how they lose.
And Croatia are no pushovers.
Tough game need to nulify the Croation midfield if we can do that the big man up front will get isolated.
Croatia haven't been great the last couple of games, England have the momentum so they should win.
There were 2 of them, Vida and Vukojević, who used this chant because it's a ULTRAS chant for a team they played a long time, Dinamo Kyiv. Even though it's IMO not malicious, it 's incredibly stupid considering the result of their last game, the host nation and the timing of it, no matter the circumstances.
Can we please keep politics out of this thread, though?
Croatia should be exhausted after going 120 minutes + penalties in both their ties.
England will be much fresher.
Nullifying Modric is key as all of their attacking impetus comes from him. Keep him quiet & England should have enough to see Croatia off.
It will be the most difficult match for England, that is down to the way England play.
Croatia had big problems with Denmark and Russia, who bored everyone with their ultra defensive setups.
In other matches, where opposition wanted to take the game to them, Croatia was deadly. They annihilated Argentina and were also superb against Nigeria, while they even won against Iceland with half-arsed efforts of their second team.
Considering that England will not play with defensive setup, this will open up spaces for Modric and Rakitic to have better passing lanes in midfield.
Still considering that Croatia has spent a lot of energy in last two games, they seemed drained of energy and I think England will go through to the final with a Sterling goal.
Only thing I'm worried about is if they play Rakitic and/ or Modric higher forward. If they set up like they have been with both at CM they'll struggle to threaten imo
There 's not a chance in hell we play without a DM against England.
It 's bitten us in the ass twice, and both of our 2 best players are a lot better further forward.
After Brozović came in vs Russia, we were comfortably the better side until half the team started going down with injuries. Still not much of a confidence boost for us, however the win in a tough atmosphere will hopefully be a huge boost for our team to stay confident in their ability coupled with the fact that the pressure should be off because they did all that anyone could ask of them, which is beat the ones in front of you to get to the semis (would have been nicer if it was less dramatic, though, because we had multiple chances to seal off both games before the ET).
Hoping that we press up Henderson who was allowed to have a stroll vs Sweden and ping balls as if he was in a training-session.
Southgate will be looking carefully at this Croatia side and thinking of ways to try and nullify their talented midfield. He’s respected and not underestimated all the teams we’ve played so far. There’s no doubt Croatia is one of the better teams in this tournament.
But in Kane and Sterling we have better attacking players and so far our defence has held up well. This will be a game of chess between two good teams with different strengths.
England to go through , Milly Rock to score.
@Makingtrax thought you might like this big man
Just like Lassie, always a top judge of character.

It’s England right?
I'd like to see Loftus-Cheek in for Alli just to help Hendo keep an eye on their midfield. Outside the header he's done absolutely nothing and I would rather someone who will get back and put a foot in against Modric and Rakitic.
England have done very well, but I think Croatia will have too much for them. If England go direct and Kane isn't marked properly that could well change, but if the game is played in midfield there's only going to be one outcome. Modric and Rakitic vs Hendo and Alli? Yikes.
That said, England seem to have a ton of belief about them. Croatia will have to match that.
Of course. The Spurs XI
