Arsenal have offered Serge Gnabry a new deal to keep him out of the clutches ofBayern Munich .

The German giants are interested but Arsène Wenger believes the player does have a future in the Gunners first-team.

Stuttgart-born Gnabry signed for Arsenal’s academy in 2011 but has only made a handful of senior appearances.

He impressed for Germany’s Olympic team this summer, however, netting six goals in six games en route to a silver medal.

Wenger is keen to keep hold of Gnabry but the player fancies the move and a fresh start.

Hopefully he's using the old interest from Arsenal trick on Bayern. Flirt with another club to get a bumper new contract.

At 21 he needs to look at our wide options & Bayerns.

This season or next he is only breaking into one of the 1st teams.

If he's gone to Bayern, it only proves that unfortunately Wenger has double standards over British sub-par players.

While Campbell was very solid last season, Walcott and Ox stank the place out, but they still remained at club.

Gnabry tears it up in Olympics, has shown signs of immense potential, yet he's being let go.

I assume Arsène loaned out Joel to give Serge minutes

Campbell can't even make it on our benches........... why would Gnabry be any different? For Gnabry to get minutes we would have needed to sell more wingers or wait for them to get injured, and the addition of Perez would only mean less chances for Gnabry.

He signed for one of the top three clubs in the world, he hasn't left for games.

I don't think he's being let go, it's clear that we want to keep him - but if he isn't going to sign a new contract and has made that clear - what can you do?

We will have cup games and dont have a huge number of CF. Gnabry will get chances. If he goes it will be because he would rather be a Bayern player than an Arsenal player.

Wenger said he wanted to keep him so I assume Gnabry pushed for the move. He has very good potential so it's a shame but it's hardly the end of the world. We still have Alexis, Perez, Walcott, Chamberlain and Iwobi as senior options on the flanks. And we have Willock and Nelson in the Academy, both of whom Wenger continually raves about. Juventus didn't die when they got rid of Coman. Neither should we with Gnabry.

Reports saying Gnabry didn't want a new contract and wanted to move.

Gnabry's dad has said he wants him to stay at Arsenal but his agents want him to move.

I wonder why his agents want a move....
