They have bottled it because they were first until the 27th of April, after matchday 34.
Before the 27th of April 2022 they had game in hand with respect to AC Milan.
That day they have played Bologna away (from matchday 20, I don't remember anymore why this game was postponed) and they have lost 2:1.
After this defeat, AC Milan has reached first place, before matchday 35.

If this isn't bottling, then Arsenal hasn't bottled the league last season.
City has won last 15 matches last season, since the 5th of December. We have lost 1 game, against Villa in matchday 33, which cost us the title.
Exactly same scenario like Serie A season 2021/22.

Either both cases are bottling or none of them is.
