While there is a part of me that thinks it's poetic that the UK has sunk so low as to be bullied by an area it colonized and destabilized with effects that reverberate to this day, you cannot have these c*nts running a mob racket whereby you sell out football so some smelly Mancs can have a slightly nicer city to live in. Act like a proper country and kick them all out.

The sanctions could very well be handed down by the time the January window comes around. They could very well already be relegated. Any player joining City is tacitly saying it's OK to cheat, more or less.

at that point a transfer ban could already be in effect and it renders the whole discussion moot.

Iirc the panel who will figure out the punishment still has to be assembled and there is also the appeal process that will run parallel to it? The latter has a 12 week deadline iirc to either confirm the original rulling or absolve city, no?

I'd love for this to be resolved before the years end, but I'm not sure it will be a swift process.

Again, the context is for the January window, so we're not talking about 70-100m+ players here.

If the money is good enough, any assurances they get will also be enough to look the other way.

players don't care about the integrity of the sport as much as we do. A lot of them will cheat every match as long as it gives them a competitive advantage.

They are mostly emotionally stunted young man, finding one with a moral backbone is nice and all, but I just don't expect them to and city has had some of the biggest rats in the PL.

I'm afraid it is, quite sadly, over. The kiss of death has been smooched.

Maybe it's actually bad that one rich person, who has never worked a day in his life and did nothing to deserve the money, can have such an impact on an entire community. Almost like the entire system is broken and should be replaced with something better.

Sheikh Mansour alone is the reason Manchester passed Birmingham as second richest country. Hopefully he buys West Brom and start new era

Yes people of Manchester have prosper due to their influence, but lets not pretend that they do that out of charity. They invested those money for power in exchange. UAE will be what the Israel is to USA. At some point in future, British blood will be spilled for UAE cause.

Do you really think they send their kids to UK university just for fun? They have sent them to educate themself and and that knowledgeable to make use of their money. They are the Iron Bank of Braavos in real life.

They should get a transferban until case is over. Let them able to spend more money on the squad while being guilty is just nuts.

Kicking them out is not beneficial for UK. You can however reasoning with them to act humble and remorseful. Take the blame and punishment. Start over and build the club again without cheating. Try to build a reputation that Arabs are not bad cheating people.

This will go beyond football and into politics and business and that’s where City might get off with a reasonable punishment.

Threats of UAE pulling out of investments and funding going into billions, not sure the UK government could risk those. I think Khaldoun was at Downing St just 2 weeks ago.

This isn’t a corporate fraud case which no one actually cares about though. It’s football, millions of ordinary people care about it. It has more eyeballs on it than anything. The strength of that verdict, and the strength of feeling with people, it will be a strong punishment.

UK needs their money unfortunately. The politics got away with Brexit. They will get away again by pulling their pants down for the Arabs.

The Arabs are really going for the Trump route and there is nothing we can do.

I think the UAE has just given funding for Britain to build its own silicone valley, that can all stop with one click of a finger.

All this stuff is proving Is that these people don't give a crap about Manchester City or Manchester.

They've been caught blatantly cheating and they're trying every dirty tick in the book to get away with it.

Yes, them threatening to pull investment in the UK isn't ideal but it we're the 5th largest economy in the world. We'll be fine.

We shouldn't have been letting this sort of investment into the country anyway, same as when Russians were buying everything up. You're asking for trouble.

I'd like to see them forced out as Abramovic was at Chelsea. Not fit people to run a club.

The difference is that Russians were not investing in the UK economy. They bought while the Arabs are investing in the UK economy.

Arsenal Quotes

One of the things I discovered in Japan was from watching sumo wrestling. At the end you can never tell who has won the fight, and who has lost, because they do not show their emotion because it could embarrass the loser. It is unbelievable. That is why I try to teach my team politeness. It is only here in England that everybody pokes their tongue out when they win.
