Chelsea's wasn't on the same scale as Man City, and a lot of it was done by the previous owner. The current ownership cooperated with the PL, while the Man City ownership have been obstructive and are still denying the charges.
The UK should not be in a position to be beholden to cheating filth in the first place. It has nothing to do with them being Arabs or anything of the sort. If Ratliffe was doing something like this at United he would need to go as well. There are plenty of other potential investors for the UK to court who won't destroy the country's most significant cultural contribution by cheating.Kicking them out is not beneficial for UK. You can however reasoning with them to act humble and remorseful. Take the blame and punishment. Start over and build the club again without cheating. Try to build a reputation that Arabs are not bad cheating people.
Uk is broke. We not in position to fall out with UAE. I think if City gets guaranteed no other club will sue them and the owner stays. They take 100 point deduction and hefty fine. But after the premier league, the fa, other clubs, hmrc and fit and proper test is waiting for them. All this fighting and threats is to do a deal imoThe UK should not be in a position to be beholden to cheating filth in the first place. You’ve been charged almost as many times as Man CityIsn’t he an extortionist. Reminds me of how for years you were on the Tate brothers bandwagon. You have a thing for people who breaks the law
I was listening to talkSPORT and one of them called in and said if khaldoon said they didn’t do anything then I believe him 100%. Talking like he knows the man personallyJust went to see if the odd, bitter bastards on bluemoon had changed their opinion following the ridiculous defence 115 have put out, but alas no.
They are seriously doubling down on being the victims in all this.![]()
Sheikh Mansour alone is the reason Manchester passed Birmingham as second richest country. Hopefully he buys West Brom and start new era
Philanthropy is not a get out of accountability free card. Many of history's great villains have a public face of generosity to mask their crimes.
Yes and that's wrong so we shouldn't be in a position where we just accept that. It shouldn't be the case that we as a society turn the other way because some cretin with money is buying us off so they can do heinous things. Ok, the UK government are in a difficult position here. So what? Vet your investors and those you allow to do business within the country better next time. Don't just allow it to continue because you're in a bind. There's a whole pdfile ring of them that were running around with epstein and now control your guys' government...

Yeah it would be difficult to have any respect for it as a product anymore and essentially what the UK would be doing is admitting that it's a finished country that no longer has any actual autonomy at all. Imagine being a nuclear armed pushover. Imagine your greatest cultural export not even belonging to you anymore. How embarrassing would that be? They'd better get this right.I wonder what it will do for the PL as product if the team that has had the league in chokehold for last 20 years built on what has now been been confirmed as cheating and they somehow get away with it because of polticial intervention.
Like are we all going to watch games when its just all scripted for one team?
If I'm not mistaken, any appeal will only happen within the sphere of football regulations. The courts will only get involved if any of the charges relate to actual criminal activity (which I believe some do). There is a limit as to how far and wide City can appeal. If the appeal fails, then the sanctions should be increased. The courts and the UK government are not and should not get involved apart from any criminal prosecution that's for the judicial system only. The identity of the panel members of an active case is meant to be confidential. Murray Rosen (the one connected to Arsenal) was the chairman of the commission who picked the three people on the panel, but he's not on the panel itself. He's not been chairman since early 2025.
It does look like Al Mubarak & co are going with the bias angle which will fail at appeal but I guess they're planning to take it to the High Court and lean on the UK government with their 'influence,' hence their apparent confidence.
Well, hitting City hard would reinforce that belief in good old fashioned English fair play. That's the angle to work abd City are not an historic club like Juve. They'll be less missed than Blackburn Rovers.I wonder what it will do for the PL as product if the team that has had the league in chokehold for last 20 years built on what has now been been confirmed as cheating and they somehow get away with it because of polticial intervention.
