It certainly looks as if there is real effort going into turning him into a decent defender
Says it all though really mate if our coaching staff have to move heaven and earth just to make him "decent"
Poor old Mustafi has that clueless Theo look about him. Is that the "needs extra" coach up close and personal and does the rest of the team get trained too at some point?
Also a fair amount of Xhaka standing around, ball watching, and generally being useless
I honestly don’t think I’ve witnessed a worse season from an arsenal goalie than the one Cech just had. Almunia at his worst can’t compete with last seasons Cech. Can’t wait to see the back of him, Mustafi and hopefully Xhaka in the future.
What a complete ****show of a season, so happy it’s behind us
Wow, this post is like 2 months too late. Almost in the next season. Also, this is the Mustafi thread. You barely mentioned him. ..
What’s your point?
There’s a timeframe for when to post certain comments?
You’re the stay on topic police? Idgi
These videos make Bellerin look really bad too. But a lot of it isn't defensive mistakes and just the other team out playing us.
You have eyes, said Unai. Use them
It isn't Unai
It's what Unai told him to translate
Bra i couldn't watch it lol. That what i don't want to see
Most of it is a team mistake. It was game over once it gets to the defence to deal with but its started at the top. God we were awful
Let's hope it improves under Emery, but the main thing I wanted to point out here was Mustafi's lack of marking and concentration.
Thing is though. You cant name an arsenal defender in the last decade that doesn't do these same things so i dont want to single him out.
Koscielny and Mertesacker together. Their only weakness was Per's pace, but Per positioned both him and Kos very, very well. I think that's the best defensive pairing we've had in 10 years now.
They have done it too. And without pace koscienly was a bone head.
Without Per, we've seen what Kos has done (Injury aside).
That said, with Per guiding him, he was one of the best defenders in the league.
