Looking at that list I actually think some serious investment in our squad is quite affordable if we get rid of all those rubbish players' wages.

I mean, even if we get no transfer fees for these guys, we could probably afford a couple of 60m transfer fees from our savings on wages alone:

Cech, Ospina, Lichtsteiner, Jenkinson, Koscielny, Mustafi, Monreal, Elneny, Ramsey, Özil, Mkhitaryan, Iwobi, Suarez, Welbeck.

Thing is with Özil is we will probably at least pay a chunk of his wage so getting rid of him is mostly about just getting him out of the club rather than saving money

It's vital we add 2 wingers a good CB and good Mid to replace ramsey that should be our prime target earlier this summer after that we can think about getting backup rb and maybe LB if we lucky.

I agree except for Chambers who I think should be sold because he's at his peak value right now I don't think we can get much more money from him than this summer.

I’d be open to selling Chambers if we received a good offer but definitely wouldn’t be forcing him out of the door.

He’s a good player, homegrown, on low wages and can cover CB/RB/DM effectively. Much bigger fish to fry with our outgoings this year.

    It’s absolutely tragic.

From a numbers perspective I’m not even sure we can afford to get rid of Iwobi/Mkhi as they’re the only two players in the current squad who can actually play out wide. Even if we sign a top winger (unlikely) and bring back Nelson that’s still only 4 wide players in our entire squad.

He's one of the few asset we don't need and who has value on this market.

Our wing options are so depressing that Willock looks the better one atm. The problem is that our only realistic target in that position is Fraser lol.

Weve the biggest squad in the top 6. Thats before our loan players return. It needs cut massively.

Not one player should be safe here this transfer window.

After the way these ****s have ended the last two seasons here they’re lucky they play for the softest fans in football.

Fraser plus another talented young winger won't be bad we desperately need pace in that position

In emery tactics, wingers will shift inside operate almost like an attacking midfielder/second striker.
So you need more than pace, you also need skills, football intelligence, passing, off the ball movements, or even better finishing.

Fraser will only fit the wingback role, to provide width, good with crosssing, pace, work rate, strength.

I'm willing to get behind Emery, if we're gonna go the route of South American prospects.

fresh faces, especially in CM will always be exciting.

Also, we need to change our game plan?
I have not watched alot of Arsenal this season, but I assume the same full back as wingers tactics? Auba as an inside forward like Theo/Gervinho/Podolski?
