For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

We have the best defence, they have the best attack. It’s as simple as that. Who wins the league will probably just come down to which team picks up fewer injuries to key players and retains the same starting XI the most.
Attack wins you matches, defense wins you titles.

This is pretty much why I have no connection to or like Arsenal anymore...

We should be challenging on multiple fronts. This is insane squad depth. Dowman isn’t even in this graphic

A league and cup double please Uncle Mikel.

What this diagram fails to account for is the 95% probability of team A and B players being simultaneously injured.

Don't we have a combined Timber+White injury issue right now? (I'm hoping that's wrong)

We’ll always have injuries. Fortunately for us the stand ins are of a higher quality than previous years. Once upon a time Rob Holding coming in for Saliba killed our season.

Timber is okay, he hasn’t played a lot for Netherlands over the international break either. White hopefully will be back for Forest.

People have seen it, they just don't act as if Arteta wasting a lot of money in 2025 is a big discovery. If anything Arteta's supporters want us to greatly outspend City and Chelsea in order for us to have a chance.

(I don't know how more people aren't seeing it)

Profile wise I like a lot of what we did, but the names aren’t ones your write home about.

That being said big names aren’t everything but you’d have still felt with £300M we could have dropped out a player or two and got a big name one.

We’d also say we spunked 300M if we got Rodrygo instead of Noni and Hicapie and Rodrygo went on to suck and we picked up injuries.

As I mentioned a few times we have taken a big gamble with Gyokeres. We will have to see how this pans out.

Eze is certainly going to add quality to this side, albeit not being the pure 1on1 pacey LW we needed.

Arsenal Quotes

When I arrive at the gates of Heaven the Good Lord will ask "What did you do in your life?"
I will respond "I tried to win football matches."
He will say: "Are you certain that's all?"
"Well, that's the story of my life. It is not easy to win football matches, you know."
