Notice how i said Pearce should be future manager. There's no way he'll be successor to Sven, he's not ready at the moment. Keegan is by no means in the same league when it comes to passion as Pearce.JoeyJoeJoeJrShabadoo said:didn't we go for the passionate approach with Keegle, & look how that worked out! Don't get me wrong, Psycho was fantastic as a player, but an international manager? Not for at least a decade. Whatever you say about Sven, his record in competitive games speaks for itself.
You can't blame him for considering his future when most of the country is trying to hound him out of a job, & a fake sheik is handing it to him on a plate.
Psycho, with a few more years in the top flight for experience will definitely be able to take charge of England. You know he wont be scared to drop 'word class' players such as Beckham when they're not performing, unlike that swedish tosser who we all know has his favourites. Besides, bringing in former internationals is the 'in' thing right now isn't it? i.e Van Basten, Klinnsman and now Staunton. Perhaps Psycho can become an Assistant once Sven leaves, leaving the door open for him in the future. That doesn't mean i want McLaren as manager after the WC (or even the likes of Alardyce or Curbishly)
Sven has dragged his reputation and responsibilites as England manager through the mud too many times now. It's wrong of the press to be doing such a stint just few months before the WC, but we didnt exactly learn anything new when it comes to Sven and his dedication to the England job.
If he's that dedicated as he says, offer him a new contract and cut his £3 million a year substantially. See how dedicated he is then.
Whilst his record at International level may be 'excellent', England will never win a major trophy under Sven. He lacks any imagination in terms of tactics (just look at the second half in the last WC against Brazil) and will never be able to raise Englands game and passion to levels of beating sides like Brazil and France in a major competition.
