Takehiro Tomiyasu: Back Tak, Or Sack?

It's reminding me of about 2013 when Diaby was still technically an Arsenal player but you knew he wasn't really, he was just still there. That's where we're at with Tomiyasu. Sad because in theory he'd be such a perfect backup option able to fill in any of the back four positions.

Club likely let him go home to be near family or places he likes. Stuff like this takes its toll, specially when he was extended by the club and can't feature.

Problem is, we shouldn't have extended him.

I think the club has always been very generous and patient with perma crocks as we really seem to value player welfare. Tomi would have been binned years ago at a club like Chelsea.

I think he went away because he was suffering mentally by not being able to play. I remember Bellerin talking about his difficulties during a long lay off. It's tough on him and us because on his day, he's some player.

Yeah he’s been out whenever we needed him. Same could be said for Zinny but we were really fortunate MLS is ready.
