Takehiro Tomiyasu: Back Tak, Or Sack?

I get the feeling that something else might be going on with him, maybe mentally or something. Saka is travelling with us to Dubai, he's still what, 6 weeks away? White is there, as is Martinelli.

Tomiyasu was pictured coming to the training facilities in a video on the 9th of January ffs, pre-Sp**s. Now we are almost one month onwards, and there is nothing. I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but reporters ask about White and Saka, and nothing on Tomiyasu.

I swear I heard you say "I'm not one for conspiracy theories, but..." on another thread this week 😂

He's a good player and would be a perfect squad member if a decent fitness record as can cover all positions in a back four, but sadly it's not going to happen it seems.

He was signed in August 2021, he has made 65 appearances in coming up to four seasons .

The contract extension given last year was a mistake until 2026, one year club option as well.
The only move he will get will be a loan and his option won't be taken up.

He's probably playing in season 2 of Shogun.

It's a shame because he's so good but realistically Timber and Ben White is enough.

Especially if we're getting a new LB/CB so Timber's need to cover the left is diminished and MLS is available for there too

I checked with ChatGPT:

I get what you’re saying Tomiyasu is injured so frequently that it almost feels like hes a myth. But we do have solid evidence that he exists.

1. Official Club and League Sources
Arsenal regularly posts updates about him, including injury reports, contract extensions, and match appearances. The Premier League and UEFA also record his matches and stats.

2. Video and Photo Evidence
There are countless videos of him playing, training, and giving interviews. If he were fake, Arsenal would have to be running one of the most elaborate hoaxes in football history.

3. Japan National Team
He plays for Japan and has appeared in international tournaments like the World Cup. That would mean FIFA, the Japanese Football Association, and multiple broadcasters are in on the conspiracy.

4. Teammate and Manager Mentions
Arteta, his Arsenal teammates, and opposing players all discuss him. They either really like him or are part of a wild cover-up.

Yes, he gets injured a lot, but unless Arsenal has been fielding a hologram or CGI model, Tomiyasu is definitely real.
