Takehiro Tomiyasu (Out)

Provided he continues to prove his fitness I really wouldn't want to see him go. The options he provides in the squad is valuable, even when Timber returns.

Probably comes down to Gabriel or Tomi leaving this summer.

You don't sell a player like Tomiyasu unless someone is willing to seriously overpay or he's unhappy with the minutes he gets. His versatility makes him extremely valuable. He can fill in anywhere in the back 4 and do the job. The perfect player to sub in to defend a lead or to be an injury replacement when necessary.
As long as he's happy to be a squad player I really don't want to see him leave.

This.

But people really enjoy player movement, so they'll entertain the rumour if it means you can dream up the signing you'd bring in with the money or to replace him

Pretty much what I was going to say.

Aside from what you already mentioned, perhaps the only other reason I'd look to sell is if he suffers another injury, which would unfortunately confirm that he can't be relied upon even as a rotation option (as harsh as it sounds).

I hope we don't sell Tomiyasu, he's a very good & consistent squad player, can play anywhere well in our back line.

If we end up selling him, I hope it's for a good amount of money & we can replace him with someone just as good. Eitherway, I'd much prefer keeping Tomiyasu though.

We should not even think of selling him. He's a very good squad player and you want this kind of depth if you want to compete.

Having said this the biggest argument to not sell him is that it will be Edu dealing with this. He will be sold for 2 mil + a pack of bbq sausages.

Right price has to be 35/40m+ but even then I don't know if I trust them to get a more useful player.
Edu/Arteta can just squander that on Kiwior/Viera/Havertz. I would want to keep players who have clicked for us.

Gotta see how his fitness goes, but if you start getting bids around 45M you probably get to 50M and let him go.

Injury prone that probably would be starter if not injury prone. Easy keeper. If he would get over Injuries he would start here and be great.

Arsenal Quotes

I knew we were very different, that he (Ferguson) had a total hold over his club while at that time I was still more of a coach. I also recognised his huge qualities. He knew how to surround himself with the right people and didn't rest on his laurels when he was successful.
