Yeah maybe. Although, i'd say Giroud and Adebayor had stand out qualities to go with the flaws. I just think give Balogun a go no? Or Martinelli who Arsenal fans have been wanting to get more minutes? If they don't work out this season, then look for a striker next summer, when Auba will likely need to be replaced.Yeah the Vela hype was strong similar to Martinelli but thankfully Gabby has done more.
Clive Allen was he not bought for big money at the time and then moved on straight away. Must have been either a falling out with the manager or he just didnt fancy him?

Why don’t we try and get back into the CL with the strikers we have now and then buy better quality of players. It’s a longshot, but if we were to concentrate our efforts on the PL, we could go after much better strikers than Tammy. Isak, Felix, Vlahovic, DCL, Watkins, Lukaku, etc. We can wait a year and do it properly or buy Tammy now and hope he’s something good. Which would you rather do?

There is a shortage of top quality strikers tbh. Of the ones you've mentioned, only Lukaku is significantly clear of Abraham.
