Make him the bloody manager! I'm even willing to give Emery one more season while Edu acclimatizes.

What more could go wrong?

Why would you want a man without a day in managment taking over mate? Heck, even Arteta has more claim to the position.

Let Edu do what he is supposedly good at.

... the club view any sporting director as having two key responsibilities in the role. The first, and most high-profile, lies around recruitment.

Edu, or whoever else ends up in the role, is expected to lead the scouting and monitoring of players before deciding which will make the best additions to Unai Emery's first-team, though ultimate responsibility for getting deals across the line will still fall to head of football Raul Sanllehi and the widely-respected chief negotiator Huss Fahmy.

Though signing players is the more high-profile part of the job it may not be the most decisive for Edu, whose second responsibility would be shaping an Arsenal 'identity' and way of playing that extends beyond just Emery's first team and across the club.

Arsenal have applied that in fits and starts over the years - Freddie Ljungberg's Under-23 side have experimented with a back three this season to prepare his squad for the step up to the first team - but this would be defining the club's identity in a far more precise way, inspired by Sanllehi's time at Barcelona.

The boys are slowly but surely getting back into the club & I love it.

It’s a farce that such a big club as ours has had its identity eroded over an extended period of time.

Get Keown out of the studio & back in as first team coach. Bould has had his chance to drill the team defensively & showed little for it.
