Teun Koopmeiners

He's said to be very mature and composed for his age (22) and one of the Netherlands' best CMs this season. He's already AZ's captain and designated penalty taker, of which he has scored 14 this season. Seems interesting.

We need to move away from the Xhaka type players who only appear slightly more agile. We need a higher level of technicality and the ability to burst or turn past a player with an air of urgency. Not someone who takes ages on the ball and wants to ping it all over the pitch.

Depay played his first game since his injury today, against some Swiss amateur team. He scored 5 goals and gave a few assists after being out for 199 days. He's a beast.

Not sure about Koopmeiners. Looks quite a talent, but haven't watched AZ enough.

He's 22 and he's already the captain of AZ? I wonder if his parents also used to give him the keys to the house...

Hopefully the next player we sign the parents locked that kidnout in night with many hungry dogs and the kid had to find on its own the way back into the house.

That would be a proper player!

Obligatory @razörist @Dutch D tag to see if he's any good.
No not good enough. Lacks the intensity, pace and physicality for the premier league. He does his best work dropping in between the centrebacks and playing sharp passes between the lines or cross field passes from there. Does so without a lot of pressure on him, would be overrun in the prem. Closest comparable would be Xhaka. I think most of us can agree we already have our hands full with him.

Are there any non-Ajax players in Holland you rate?

Hmmm let’s see.

#1 Ihataren, PSV (#1 talent in the eredivisie)
#2 Malen, PSV (the ex-arsenal talent)
#3 Madueke, PSV (young English winger)
#4 Wijndal, AZ (very attacking dynamic leftback)
#5 Boadu, AZ (raw striker, misses too much but so young)
#6 Stengs, AZ (playmaking winger)
#7 Zeefuik, Groningen (defense first right back, think he could be a latebloomer like Van Dijk)

Oh and Robben, he signed for Groningen! :D

They won 12-0. Another player also scored 4 goals. Not sure that's the best judgement of his rehab.
