Thatcher charged by FA

Leicester's Ben Thatcher has been charged with violent conduct after an incident in the match against Arsenal.
Defender Thatcher clashed with Freddie Ljungberg during the Premiership game on 6 December and will now face a Football Association hearing.

The alleged incident at the Walkers Stadium was not seen by the referee.

Later in the game Arsenal's Ashley Cole was sent off for a two-footed tackle on Thatcher and Leicester snatched a late equaliser to draw 1-1.

Is this for when he stamped on his ankle?

I also think that this is actually a historic moment... someone in the opposition getting charged by video evidence.

Hehe

Read about this in a couple of the papers.

Not sure if the stamp happened before or after the Cole incident but frankly, what do you expect from Thatcher?

It's got to be a first though.

Maybe the FA will even start to notice Diverboys antics.

Well perhaps we ought not to get too carried away...

good he deserves this :) stupid Thatcher putting his hands around Freddie's neck

its nice to see the FA notice what another team has done to us instead of what we do to other teams. Maybe this is a turning point for the FA they might start charging diver boy for his antics

Ref should have seen it and sent him off so Cole wouldn't have had the opportunity to make such a stupid tackle.
