Football was invented in 1̶9̶9̶2̶ 1996 when Arsène Wenger arrived in these shores, so in his honour we will be drafting the best players in the PL from 1996 to present day.

Usual rules apply:

- 1 player per club.
- they must have completed at least two seasons in the PL before May 2025
- 11 starters to be picked first
- 1 round of backup GK’s
- 3 rounds at the end where each team will pick two picks at each turn for their bench
- there is a twist which will be revealed before the bench picks begin

After the teams have been completed, they will be drawn into groups before matches simmed in a group - > knockout - > final format.

You can join as a solo player or team up with a partner. You’ll have a 60 minute window to pick before the randomiser comes out.

Now for the twist I mentioned: you will be allowed one wildcard pick where you can select a player from any of Europe’s top 5 leagues as long as they have appeared in the PL and have not been chosen. There is no club restriction for this pick, so you could choose Azpilicueta even if you have a Chelsea player already.

The pick order will not be a reverse snake, it will be 1-16 in the order listed in the table. From Round 13, you will get two turns each to select 3 players.

Coz others wise it’s kinda pointless if they’ve already been in the PL as they’d have been picked.

Your wildcard will be their version abroad, so you’d be getting the best Atletico version of Diego Costa for example.

I read it as after goal keeper but those positions were minimum requirement. Is this correct @A_G ?

You can use your WC pick for any of the subs, doesn’t matter. You just need 1 of each of those positions as a minimum.
