I know the region well, being from Melbourne Australia, I am a Melbourne Victory fan

For some reason I had you as a Canadian for the longest time, probably because of your country tag lol.

Don't think we will see any Australian clubs in CWC for a long time, Asia will be dominated by the Saudis. Even the Japanese and Korean clubs won't come close anymore with that amount of investment by the Saudis

What do you make of this competition?

From a fans perspective it's pretty pointless to me. We've basically got what this tournament wants to be with the CL, if you threw in a couple of South American sides.

Quality wise there's not a huge amount of clubs outside of those regions that can compete at the top level.

Kinda surprised how well the South American teams are holding up against the European ones.

Totally different style of football, lets positional and tactical, just full show of tekkers like what we are used to during Wenger 2003 era.

Nah they'll just replace the smaller obscure teams with the big name clubs that have missed out this time and guarantee that every match is a big draw next time. They're determined to have their money grab.

In the end only 3.4k fans turned up lmao. How do FIFA expect fans to turn up when both clubs dont even fill their own matches for domestic leagues

Assistance is piss poor but I hope it becomes a thing. Watching clubs around the world in a non friendly setting is just cool. Should have some of the magic the world cup has.. eventually.
