It beggars belief why they're so peeved about our win. We're not in the same stratosphere

They should be concerned about Fulham, West Ham, Brighton & the like.
At least West Ham only deluded themselves into believing they were a rival after winning the smallest European trophy. These clowns' memories of their Audi Cup glory are already foggy.

The way they play actually reminds me of the early 2010s Wenger teams. Very free flowing super attacking football but the defending is left to heroics from VDV and Romero. They'd struggle so badly if they didn't have two top class CBs.

It reminds me of Arsenal back then because your defensive stability felt like it stood and fell with Kos and Per playing out of their minds. Kos especially often had to cover insane amounts of ground and make last ditch interventions, not unlike VDV.

Have to admit it's very fun to watch and a breath of fresh air in today's game, but you have to wonder how sustainable it is, especially if you want to compete in Cups etc.

You don't win anything without a decent defence really. Sp**s are all over the shop defensively.

Comparing Sp**s to Wenger teams on an Arsenal forum?

Brave…

Probably not, but if Ange can solidify Sp**s as a CL club playing their current ****-ball I think most Sp**s fans would be happy. It's fun to watch.

I will say, Tottenham seem to do a pretty decent job on identifying transfer targets. Micky Van Den Ven is a fantastic buy and I hope some bigger club buys him soon, and Vicario also seems quite good whenever I see him play. As for this year's purchases, Wilson Odobert also apparently has started quite well (although I haven't seen their games this season) while Bergvall and Archie Gray are highly touted prospects.

Of course they also grossly overpaid for Brennan Johnson but it's hard to come close to 100% on transfers.

You are right, Ange is the second coming of Wenger   . Might be the only 2 PL managers to ever manage in the J League.

Arsenal Quotes

When you start supporting a football club, you don’t support it because of the trophies, or a player, or history, you support it because you found yourself somewhere there; found a place where you belong.
