We would be best placed if we had an elite left winger like Semenyo and perhaps one more top midfielder like Newcastle Bruno.
**** even if we had Solanke, Maddison and Kulusevski back there might be a chance.
This is silly, even with all this there’s no chance .. I’m so happy with the job Frank is doing but we’re miles off that mate. Miles off.
Walk before we can run. Wolves was a week ago ffs, then followed by Bodo and a 2-1 win to newly promoted Leeds should not have banished that.
Where not miles off. This isn’t a peak Pep or Peak Klopp team who we are dealing with, Woolwich and Liverpool are very decent but both have flaws and both have had some very average performances this season. Our backline on paper is excellent, we have some top quality like Kudas, Palhinha and Simons but we don’t have enough top quality. It’s not 6-7 players, 2-3 elite players would get us in the ball park if we got lucky with injuries.
On the title race

Struggled to a draw with Bodo Glimt midweek but have a chance to win the league in their minds:On the title race

I am sure they would be desperate to find out your user there and ban you.
Probably the same with Redcafe, unless @JMB didn't snitch you already![]()
Be interesting how patient Liverpool will be with slot as it’s looking like top 4 at best. Won the title so easily buys him until next year but he has spent a fortune on average stuff. So I think next season will be make or break for him.
Such chaos. **** will be licking their lips ffs
Yeah, don’t think we’re going to be able to rely on the Scousers this season. Hoe much again did they splurge on Isak AND Ekitike
Liverpool just aren’t very good! I just hope city can find some form and go on one of these mad unbeaten runs till the end of season please
They just don’t look like a team , to many individuals
It's all on City
I agree. Might not even get guehi now. I think they capitalised on a very weak league last year but no such luck now. Compare their defence to arsenals. If Woolwich concede you are a bit surprised but if Liverpool don’t concede it’s a big shock!
Think slot is an average manager thrust into a great team really
Klopp left a season to early
400m and he made the team more fragile and physically weak.
Still can't believe they let Diaz go- thought he was their best attacker last season.
They should have replaced Van Dyke as well- he is clearly on the downside of his career.
Good news is Palace will do the gooners Sunday , and city are beating this Villa side!
Nope.
We keep thinking in terms of hope.
Palace ain't beating Woolwich. City should beat Villa.
Dippers ain’t winning the league this season.
Worrying thing is Woolwich by default as much as anything are looking most likely. Relying on a resurgent Citeh really. Outside of that likes of Crystal Palace and Bournemouth look about the best in the league. A lot to hope for a Leicester repeat there.

Pretty sure they forgotten which league position they finished last season.
Most hilarious thing i read
Dreading us playing them. Especially as everyone will be expecting it to be like the super cup when instead we’ll probably get our arses handed to us on a plate.
If they're flying then not many teams in the world gonna stop them.
****ing hate Woolwich. They score a header every single match
They can be awful to watch at times, but it's the first time since Arteta has been there that I'm genuinely concerned over what they can achieve this season. Mega concerns.
Feels a lifetime ago when we were a far superior side to Woolwich
Depressing as ****
Absolutely tragic we have to witness Woolwich as one of the best sides in Europe nowadays.
Sickening.
They'll go very deep in the CL and they will win the PL or be very very close to it.
I just can't believe how far they have moved ahead of us, particuarly with their squad building.
Shaping up to an absolute all timer **** of a season

It's absolutely crazy what has happened to the two clubs since that Conte NLD when we beat them and they imploded.
They have gone from strength to strength and we have gone backwards horribly.
We've signed complete dross and they have signed top quality.
**** me, just seen the **** score.
When was the last time Athleti shipped 4 goals in 10 mins??
And they save it for ****.
I properly hate those cunnts.
The ONLY positive from tonight is that the Arse game doesn't appear to be on TV...
But other than it's all been ****!
I thought Atleti were supposed to be hard to beat?
****ing limp pussies like the rest of them!
One goal conceded and they ****ing collapse all over them!
They built steadily from back to front and made sure they had a solid foundation.
Might be a lesson there for some of our fanbase...
They are so far ahead of us. We need new owners to compete with them.
They will be dominating football for the next few years. It’s painful but I am going to avoid any coverage of them. Couldn’t pay me to watch them win each game.
It’s all there for them as no real outstanding teams to stop them. They will be hoovering up a lot of trophies over the next few years. Sad times
Yep. Their recruitment has been exceptional.
Califiori is a technically gifted LB built like a brick **** house. Timber probably the best RB in the league on current form.
They went huge on Rice and he'd been worth every penny.
Saliba and Gabriel weren't even expensive signings and have been rocks for them.
Worst of all, they have two high quality players for every position. Skelly comes in and performs, they can rest Califiori.
I hate them with a passion but they've just done so much right.
Even signing that CB from Valencia and he slots in like he's a clone of Saliba.
Their squad depth let them down before, but now they've built the strongest squad in Europe.
But what annoys me more, isn't them doing it right, it's the fact we haven't. Our owners should be disgusted with how they have let them move so far ahead of us.
There is much work for us to do as a team/club…
We’re just a rich West Ham![]()
We are in the wrong competition for how good we are.
Enjoy the ride but we are a quality apart from the best in this competition, which has been diluted far too much.
If we make the knockout stage we have done well, based on our current squad.
Thought it would be a decent, competitive game. But it's been men against boys.
