My only positivity is that I genuinely believe that 1 win will change everything. I made a deal with the devil a few weeks ago.

After Woolwich bottled their quadruple and but we found ourselves 2 points a drift in the relegation zone, something had to give. The ideal scenario was Woolwich win nothing and Sp**s stay up but at the time we looked so likely to go down. I couldn't sign any deal that would see Woolwich win a champions league. I'd have taken relegation before signing off on that. But I had to give them the premier league for us to stay up. No champions league, we stay up but they get the league.

We just have to take it on the chin. Its the lesser of all the evils. At one stage it looked like they could win the quad and we'd be relegated. We were never getting out of this one scot-free. Do what you have to do. I'm already blocking all Woolwich accounts and social media everywhere. I'm not even addressing it. I was spamming all my whatsapp groups lastnight talking about the snooker to block out the city result and make it feel irrelevant. I'm not going to watch anymore club football this season bar the Sp**s matches. Do what it takes. It won't be as bad as you think but it won't be pleasant. I've a funny feeling they could totally drop off after winning it too. The chase would be over! We'll come out the other side. They've won many league titles over the years and it never changed anything. Football is an infinite game.

Strange to say, but if we stay up I won't be as bothered about them winning the league. We looked doomed for so long that if we stay up I can't help but be anything but happy.

But the prospect of them winning the Champions League is beyond tolerable. The one thing we have over them is bragging rights over our European record. They can beat Bayern. They’ve already done it. Bayern are much scarier going forward than they are but they aren’t that midfield dominant nor do they possess a particularly good backline.

PSG are a bit different. When they’re on it you have a world class front 3 and an insanely dominant, complete midfield 3. Rice is a huge differential (MOTM vs Atletico, Bayern, Madrid last season) but PSG is too much, he can’t do it against 3 elite midfielders at once. They also have the best fullback pairing in the world.

Bayern can win any game because that front 3 is absolutely stupid, but they’re a lot less reliable/complete. On the flip side it would be nicer to see Kane win it. I just don’t really trust them though.

Bayern would absolutely not be favourites against that lot. Not in my opinion. No way.
