The Lobby: Introduce Yourself Here

Afternoon all, have been a lurker on the forum for about 15 years (did post a couple of times a while back, but seems my account was since deleted) - thought it'd be a good time to re-register on here to enjoy the transfer hype and what I feel is going to be a great season.

In the spirit of the thread, I guess I should introduce myself.
Should really be a Hammers fan, as born and bread in East London, but although I didn't really take much interest in football outside of the World cup and such until the age of about 30, a couple of key mates were growing up were Arsenal fans and when I was young, Ian Wright stood out to me.
I was more interested in video games and playing music (guitarist) growing up and so followed from a distance - totally missed the Invincibles era :)-() and have yet to witnesses the club win the league.
Although music is still my number one passion, in 2010 I ended up with a manager at work who had 2 seasons tickets and upon hearing I was a gooner invited me to go to a game (tight git charged me mind...) - IIRC it might've been Vs Barcelona in the CL. Ever since then I been hooked.
Going to the Emirates also coincided with me moving to Holloway road/Archway a year or so prior (as a result of a breakup with a girl if moved in with in Finchley...but I digress).
I've since moved back to East London, but the years I spent living down Holloway road (despite the tiny flat being a bit crap) were some of my best memories; I got to go to quite a few games when I lived there and used to love going to the boxing day games (usually spanking the Hammers!...) and the Emirates cup in the summer (back when it was a great 2 days) and being able to just walk home down the road after.
Was just a great vibe on match days in the area and spent a good chunk of my final year's as a bachelor there and all the fun that came with it:)
Miss those nights when I'd be able to get a bus home from a night out in Camden, or at Big Red's.
Will also never forget the year we won our first trophy/FA cup in years. I was getting my first tattoo that day and winning was a big deal to me, as I'd missed the years of winning the league/cups.
I still get to go to games here and there, but I pretty much never miss a game on TV etc (much to the annoyance of my wife....) - I've often thought about calming it down (especially when we have a few frustrating results), but I've been addicted for about 15 years now.
Used to love listening to the A Bergkamp wonderland pod on my way to work (feel like it went downhill years ago unfortunately..) and now listen to Arsecast and Arsenal Vision mainly (sometimes Hand break off)
Apart from Music/guitars, my other obsession in recent years is Pinball (playing in tournaments and such) - any other pinheads here, give me a shout!
Cheers!

G’day All,

I've been a Gooner since 1970 and spent my formative years on the North bank at Highbury back in the 70's & 80's. Bit of an armchair fan these days, but still get up to the Emirates occasionally to cheer on the lads. Big screens and HD are such a great way to watch the live games now.

Anyway, here's hoping MA can get us over the line in the Prem this season and also have proper go at winning our cup (FA) back again.

Hello everyone, long time follower of this forum since it earlier beginnings but this is my first post.
Arsenal fan since early 00'.
Had the opportunity to watch Arsenal in Europe whenever they play close to me, Italy, Austria, Germany etc in CHL but lately in EL.
My first time in the Emirates was two years ago, agains Crystal Palace, still leading the PL. It looked like a dream come true watching my first Arsenal home game in a title winning season 😅.

Hello everybody. State side fan of the gunners since I was young and then they were the Invincibles. No going back. I grew up watching the EPL, but that sealed the deal for me as a lifetime supporter. I'm a graphic designer and AI enthusiast. Go ahead and grab some free wallpaper if you like.

Cheers to the 25/26 season, Arteta and the boys!

Introducing myself
Come on my Lobby boys (and Riquelmesgirl and any other girls) lets get the famous "Getting to know the Lobby" thread back together.

Oh yes by the way for the mods/admins sake, this thread was made for the Newbies to introduce themselves rather than having them create a new thread.

Just like the old days 😉

UPDATE: Now used to mourne our beloved thread. Release your emotions here. You can also bring back classic GTKTL memories.

R.I.P. GTKTL

UPDATE: Ignore update number one, just treat it like the old GTKTL thread.

PLEASE USE THE GTKTL (GETTING TO KNOW THE LOBBY) ABRIEVIATION.

Hello everyone. I've been a Gooner for about 20yrs now. Lived just 20mins walks from Highbury. Always in an Islington pub on match days to cheer on my team (tickets were too expensive). In awe of the Invincibles. Loved and sufferred with the baby gunners. Bought a plaque tile to pave the Emirates some years ago.

Cheers! I'm loving how far stretching Arsenal (and the EPL) has spread. Still hate Tottenham. So it goes.

Howdy all. Newbie here
Gutted about last night and it's the first match that I was a valid member on here so please go easy with me!
Still top. Unbeaten since Livarpool and people are still scared of us.
Just wanted to say hello and hopefully this is our year.

Hi there

Joined the forum, since my 8yo is a Gunners fan, and as we're visiting London from Denmark just after Christmas, I really want to give him and our 11yo a great football experience. Sadly ticket agencies in Denmark only sell tickets with hospitality, which is priced way out of our price range as a family of four:( So I'm looking for advice as how to obtain tickets for the Brighton game at the 27th, so if anyone has any helpful hints, don't hesitate to write me. Thanks y'all!

New here. US dad with multiple kids who love Arsenal.
I’m bringing a son to England for his birthday next year in March. We want to attend the Arsenal match at Wolverhampton. Do I have a chance of buying away tickets here or would I be better of buying through their site and going incognito? Thanks much!
