Arsenal and southampton still talking over oxo chambo about move either now or in summer. Utd interested but told arsenal more likely

Heard arsenal bid for oxo chambo was 5mill plus 3 in add ons. Saints want far more up front and deal reaching 10m

Would make sense for arsenal to wait until summer for oxo - as long as utd don't come in with acceptable bid this arvo

Some of the fees being bandied about are obscene. Absolutely pathetic.

From the Beeb TDD ticker:
PaulBalcombe on Twitter: "The joys of being an Evertonian. The biggest news of today will be the retention of Phil Neville. Exciting indeed."
Things can always be worse.

Torres is a great signing for Chelsea, will bring them up another level.

1419: To all you Arsenal fans who thought you wouldn't get a mention on transfer deadline day, you were wrong. Are you ready for this? BBC Lincolnshire report that 20-year-old Gunners defender Gavin Hoyte has extended his loan deal at Lincoln until the end of the season. You can pick yourselves up off the floor now...
Even the Beeb is mocking us ...

How many levels are there? Would you say if Chelsea were Buddhists, they be on level 12 by now?

I always liked Torres. He's a terrific buy for Chelsea, and its a good thing we've got our games against them out of the way while United still have to play them twice.

Well played Newcastle.

Bent doesn't look such a rip-off now. I'd pay 15-20m max for Carroll.
