• To all AM members and guests.

For the start of the new season, Arsenal Mania has relaunched the news side of the site. All articles are written by genuine Arsenal fans with no hidden agenda. You can visit the site via the menu at the top of the forum pages or go direct to our homepage

Additionally, Arsenal Mania is now sending all its registered members a bi-weekly Briefing Bulletin containing a digest of news and views from both parts of the site. Some of you may have already received the first edition and those that haven't should do so before the big kick off against United. If you are a guest visitor to this forum then if you join as a member, you will automatically receive the Bulletin.

Please support both these initiatives and help ensure the long term future of our site.

I thought Xhaka was going to Saudi? The plan was for @BergMan to set up his base camp to stalk Xhaka from in @Sapient Hawk 's garden.

Gun ownership here is virtually impossible without connections & going through a mountain-range of red-tape (something we're all thankful for) but if I knew @BergMan was within close proximity to where my kids live, I'd do everything in my power to acquire an M1 Abrams

Richard masters the PL chairman need to resign this league becoming a total joke.

The corruption will eventually catch up. Might be 5 years, might be ten. It's unsustainable. Doesn't even touch on the relationships between FSG and the Saudis or Boehly and the Saudis. The rot will slowly turn English football into what Serie A is today.

Do you actually believe that?

What's unsustainable?

The PL clubs are owned by billionaires, I always find the 'sustainability' fight a bit of a joke.

Sure do. Once you slowly lose integrity in the game interest is going to fall. Multi club ownerships are also a problem. The transfer window is slowly turning into a form of professional wrestling. Dodgy player trades, the Felix transfer to Saudi is total corruption, the whole Isak Nunez saga is laughable.

Idk this whole cheaters never prosper thing sounds like copium to me. I mean it’s not like the word is ruled by the United States of crooks and assholes or anything like that.

Nothing to do with finances. When the integrity of sport gets lost interest will drop, like it has in Serie A.

Serie A had a hell of a lot more problems than just integrity.

They had massive financial problems, missed oppurtunites and lack of investment and infrastructure failings.

They've also had shocking ownership across many clubs and a brand of football that is dull.

Yeah, the scandals didnt help, but a lot of the leagues failings are due to finances.

This is just nonsense though? There isn't any incentive for Saudis to help out Pool to buy a player they don't want to sell.

It's all tied and maybe just taking advantage of situation. Newcastle not buying Wissa and Sesko also keeping Isak that not happening

Are you saying there is no possibility of corruption? What do you base that belief on?

No lol, I’m saying I don’t believe that it will catch up to them. We don’t live in a world where bad things happen to bad people etc.

Higher fee for Isak after the fee for Nunez is pumped up.

Yeh, it is just like how other PL clubs is inflating transfer fee's for the academy players. 20m pounds for someone who didn't have any first team experience etc.

Think they will have some sort of agreement that Isak will be sold for maximum value or maybe exceed the what he is valued. Maybe 150m plus addons, and that Saudi club will buy Nunez for 80m.

For Liverpool, it doesnt matter much. This loophole will be exploited more by Newcastle in the future.
