We're writing them up. I caused a bit of a delay because the simulator was out of action for most of last week with a 404 error.
All the squads and group games are updated and simmed now so just bear with us.

We pick up the action in Group C as @Steps takes on rank outsider @UpTheChampionz. The former celebrated the draw avoiding being grouped with Rex or AG while UpTheChampionz said his goal for the truant was to “teach jones a lesson una”.
The gulf between the two sides is apparent from the off as Steps FC take no time grabbing hold of the game. They dominate in midfield early without creating too much, until a great bit of play between Kaka and Zidane sends Klose through…
Turned away by Akinfeev!!! A low shot from the German looks to be heading for the back of the net before the Russian gets a strong hand to it!! The ball goes out for a corner, which is swung in by Zidane…
Set piece FC, ole ole!!! Puyol peels off his marker to rise high at the back post and make it 1-0 to Steps!! All that attacking talent on the pitch yet it was a corner kick that made the difference.
The goal does little to change the flow of the game and Steps FC look to turn the screws on the UTC. They come flooding forward again and even after the ball is cleared, it falls at the feet of Batigol…
Just whistles over the bar!! Akinfeev is relieved to see it go over as he was getting nowhere near it!! Over on the bench we can hear UpTheChampionz say “he was a gunman, Batisuta?”
UTC FC try to get something going in attack but the disconnect between their midfield and attack is proving to be an issue. They lose the ball cheaply again in midfield and it ends up with the worst possible opponent for them in Zidane. With runners peeling off of him he drives towards the UTC box and unleash a thunderous shot…

Brilliant save by Akinfeev, but he can only push it out back into the danger area…
Pounced upon by Klose!! Right on the stroke of halftime the German gets a classic poacher’s finish to make it 2-0 as the ref blows for the break!! Long way back from here, Clive.
UTC make several changes at the break as they look to somehow find a way back into the game after being dominated for 45 minutes. It does have an effect as the begin the second half with more possession, but they struggle to break through with clear cut chances.
Steps FC appear to be in cruise control, and that feeling of comfort nearly costs them as a loose pass from Reyna puts Emil Forsberg through on goal…
Lee is equal to it!! The first real scare for Steps after a mistake but the keeper spares their blushes!! Steps reminds his team to focus…

With UTC pushing forward they sense the opportunity to find a third goal and kill the game. Kaka seems to be growing in influence as the game heads towards the end and he’s off on one of his trademark runs, weaving in between the UTC midfield… space opens up for him to have a shot but he looks to slide a ball in behind instead…

The lengthy treatment for Zidane adds some time to injury time but that proves to be the final incident of what ends up a one sided game.

Midway through the second half, both teams finally begin to make subs as they look to change the course of the game. GDeep FC have a set piece opportunity and send the big men at the back forward hoping to find the right delivery. Figo sends the ball in and it meets Vincent Kompany’s head…
… but his header goes over the bar!!! A decent chance for the Belgian.
The managers make their final subs as they push for a winner, with the game beginning to get stretched. This suit Di Maria who increasingly finds himself in more space, and he looks to pick the lock on the GDeep defence. He decides to go at it alone and smashes a patented left footed shot…
Off the crossbar!! It was past Buffon’s outstretched hand but thankfully for him, it crashes off the woodwork and goes out for a goal kick!! GDeep seems to be on the edge…
With time winding down, GDeep FC decide to go more direct and lump it forward. The keep the ball in the final third and even though the attack doesn’t seem to be going anywhere suddenly Bergkamp fashions a shot…!
Catches it cleanly…
Bounou gets across to keep it out!! GDeep cannot believe what he’s seeing…
One final opportunity for GDeep to lump it into the box and Buffon looks to take the free kick. It’s dealt with by Jones’ defence and suddenly there’s a free path to goal for Pedro with the entire GDeep team in the opposing half…
But he’s taken out by Kompany!! The Jones FC players storm the ref as he pulls out a card…
It’s only yellow!!! Pedro was still inside his own half, so no DOGSO.
The players fume but Jones seems satisfied with a point, GDeep not so much…

UTC make several changes at the break as they look to somehow find a way back into the game after being dominated for 45 minutes. It does have an effect as the begin the second half with more possession, but they struggle to break through with clear cut chances.

That seems to serve as a wake up call as Steps FC put the clamps down and prevent any more attacks on their goal. With UTC pushing forward they sense the opportunity to find a third goal and kill the game.
