The draw for the Quarter-Finals and Semi-Finals has been made, giving every team an idea of their path to the Final:

The Quarter-Final stage belatedly begins with @Makingtrax taking on A_G. The betting favourite against the commissioner's favourite, who will come out on top? The winner sets up a mouthwatering clash against GDeep or Sanchriou for a spot in the Final.
The buildup has been respectful between the two as @Makingtrax was diplomatic when asked if A_G is a "corrupt ****":
His opponent refused to answer questions about impartiality before storming out of the press conference...
On the to the action...
Makingtrax FC

AGFC
![]()
The game kicks off with Makingtrax in control early on, as they look to dominate possession being the home team. Messi dropping deep causes early trouble for the visitors as Amrabat is left chasing shadows until he finally goes in to win the ball...
View attachment 51341
He clatters the Argentine but the referee shows some leniency early on. The warm handshake between the two raises some eyebrows but this is NOT a bent competition. He knows the next the next tackle will likely result in a booking.
Trax FC continue to probe as they work the ball forward. Xavi plays the ball down the channel for the Kane, who chases it down and waits for support. He drops it back for Mazraoui who sweeps it across for Messi to have a go...
![]()
His left footed shot sails over the bar, but it's an early warning for AGFC. Worrying signs as he found himself in space 30 yards from goal with the likes of Amrabat and Davids nowhere to be found...
The game continues in a similar pattern until a loose pass from Javier Hernandez presents the ball to Salicido who gallops forward with the ball. The ball finds its way to Neymar who drops a shoulder and looks to have a shot from just outside the area...
![]()
He kicks the back of the defender's leg and goes down!! The ref waves play on as the Brazilian #10 rolls around like he's on fire. Their first sight of goal goes begging as Neymar can't even get an attempt off, with Makingtrax FC taking control of possession once again.
More Messi magic down the wing as he weaves in between defenders and wins a free kick on the left hand side after some clever footwork fooled Molina. Dunga stands over the free kick as the centre backs make their way into the area...
View attachment 51342
Ball whipped in with plenty of pace...
Kane gets a firm head to it....
![]()
GOOOOOOOOAL!! 1-0 to Makingtrax as Kane's powerful header whizzes past Kahn's helpless dive!! The leader for the Golden Boot adds to his tally and gives Trax a priceless lead!!
@Makingtrax is loving it:
![]()
AGFC kick-off after the setback and look to get back into the game, but the goal clearly knocks them back. They struggle to build from the back and resort to hoofing the ball, which means it only ends up coming straight back at them. Another spell of possession for Trax FC sees Kagawa tuck infield and he turns up field to survey his options. Suddenly he sees Chicharito make a clever run in behind and clips it over the top for him...
View attachment 51346
A poor touch from the Mexican means the chance is gone!! He was clean through on goal but the ball ricocheted off his ankle and though to the goalkeeper. AGFC appear to be on the ropes here as the cameras turn to the manager on the touchline...
View attachment 51347
He appears to be facetiming someone in the middle of the game!! What's going on here?! The action continues on the pitch as his team break forward with Mbappe using his pace to run at the Trax FC defence, who are vulnerable as the wing backs pushed up. The Frenchman cuts inside and shapes to shoot before playing a lovely reverse ball through for Neymar...
View attachment 51348
Neymar's been shot again!! And this time the ref points to the spot!! It's a penalty even though there was barely any contact!! Makingtrax is fuming at the 4th official and demands to know who his opposite number was on the phone with!! It appears boss calls were made and now the away side have a golden opportunity to level it up!!
Mbappe will step up to take the spot kick as Neymar recovers from the second career threatening injury he has suffered in this game....
All eyes on the Frenchman as the ref blows his whistle...
![]()
SAVED!!! Neuer gets a strong hand to it and keeps it out as Mbappe fails once again from the spot!! Still 1-0 to Trax after a golden opportunity is missed as we head towards half-time.
View attachment 51350
Maybe another facetime will do the trick? Trax FC slow the game down after that scare and manage to see the half out to go into the break with their lead in tact.
The second half begins with AGFC looking to play with more intensity, pressing high up the pitch. They force Trax FC into some long balls which cedes possession, giving Davids a chance to really get into the game. He sprays a ball out wide for Molina to run onto and the right-back squares it into the penalty area...
View attachment 51351
Baggio balloons his shot into the crowd!! He should've taken a touch, but instead smashed it first time. Surprising lack of composure from the Italian as AGFC create their best chance of the match.
Some initial signs that the game is beginning to get stretched as gaps start to appear in midfield. Makingtrax FC are not content to sit on their one goal advantage and venture forward themselves, with the wing-backs flying up and down the flanks. Xavi plays a clever give and go with Dunga before dropping a shoulder to evade Amrabat, which opens up the space on the edge of the box for Messi. Xavi fires the ball into the little master who turns and shoots in one motion...
![]()
Only one result from that passage of play!! 2-0 to Makingtrax FC as Kahn is once again powerless to stop the low driven shot from bulging the net!! Daylight for Trax with yet another A-M Draft Semi-Final in sight!! AGFC will require a miracle now!!
They send on some subs with the system now slightly imbalanced with the amount of attackers on the pitch. No time for pretty build-up play as they boot the ball into the final third hoping to overwhelm the opposition with numbers. Mbappe fights off Desailly to hold the ball up, but gets hacked down from behind giving AGFC a free kick in a good position. They flood the box with players, leaving just two men back to stop the counter. The newly subbed on Christian Eriksen swings a ball right onto the penalty spot where it's met by a teammate...
![]()
Pique can't keep his header down!! It would've been a certain goal if it was on target, but the score remains 2-0.
AGFC begin to take even more risks going forward as they go for broke, and Vitinha picks out a great ball for Neymar who's ventured out to the left hand side. He gets down the byline and cuts it back for Luis Suarez, who takes a touch and bends one to the far corner...
![]()
Brilliant save by Neuer!! Suarez is denied by the German who races across his line to get a strong hand to it and preserve the clean sheet!! AGFC are enjoying their best spell of the match by far but still can't make it count.
Makingtrax responds by making some subs of his own to try and stem the tide of momentum building on the other side. Brian Laudrup comes on and immediately provides a calming influence in midfield, taking the sting out of the game. AGFC become more desperate to win the ball back, but end up giving away several free kicks allowing Makingtrax FC to slow things down and bleed the clock. They haven't given up on finding a third goal, but a few pot shots from outside the box corutesty of Kane and Boateng come to nothing.
A few nervous looks at the stadium clock from the AGFC players as their tournament dreams look to be ending, but they continue to pile forward looking for that one chance to get back into the game. Mbappe seems to be the last one left fighting and he gets the ball off Eriksen before driving at the defence. He fakes going down the outside before curling one at the far post...
![]()
This time he won't be denied!! It's 2-1 just on the stroke of injury time and possible hope for AGFC at long last!! The players retrieve the ball from the net quickly and wait for the 4th official to put up his board...
![]()
6 ADDED MINUTES!!! Groans from the home crowd as Makingtrax FC have gone from comfortable winners, to now having to see out the remaining six minutes with the momentum shifting back in the favour of AGFC. Contrasting emotions for the two managers at the sight of the board...
AGFC hound the Trax players like a pack of wolves as soon as the game kicks off again and manage to win the ball back in their own half. The original system has gone out the window with the side now resembling a 2-3-5 formation with the final third absolutely congested. Pouring men forward slightly works against them as they are unable to play their way through a sea of bodies, having to resort to putting it in the mixer. They get it out wide to Cuadrado who somehow finds himself in loads of space on the wing. He composes himself and wraps his foot around the ball...
![]()
Neuer rises highest to claim it!! He hits the deck with the ball to waste some time, before he spots one of his teammates screaming for the ball. He gets up quickly and sidefoots a perfect ball right into the path of Robin Van Persie who breaks clear of everyone else on the pitch!! He's clean through on goal with just the keeper to beat, and with Kahn already out of his goal to play sweeper he simply dribbles the ball around him...
![]()
To pass the ball into an empty net!!! 3-1 to Makingtrax and he's headed to the Semi-Finals!! Wild celebrations from the players and coaches and when they finally get back onto the pitch, there's only time for the ref to blow his whistle.
Makingtrax 3-1 A_G
Thanks for the heads up, been really busy lately.@Makingtrax congratulations on your win.
@dashsnow17 vs @The Ducking Duck
@Rex Caudillo vs @Steps
@Gdeep vs @Sanchez11 + @Riou
Your games have all been simmed as well

The second Quarter-Final sees commissioner @Rex Caudillo take on rival @Steps, one of the few players brave enough to stand up to the corruption he’s seeing.
The pre-match worsened after Sir AlRex was questioned about whether he lost the “five figures” he bet on A_G in the previous match:
Rex

A tense handshake between the two managers before we kick-off…
Steps FC get us underway and immediately begin on the front foot. Clearly sent out by their manager with the message to get after their opponents, they press high up the pitch and force Rex FC onto the edge of their own box. No chances early on but they enjoy long spells of possession as the pattern of the game begins to take shape. They do manage to work an opening when Trippier gets free down the right and puts in a whipped cross that just barely misses Batistuta's head. The ball comes out to the other wing and it's put back in by Maldini, but Ramos manages to get a head on it. Just when Nakata is ready to turn and run with it, he has the ball knicked off his toes by Hagi who fires at goal...
View attachment 51477
A screamer to open the scoring!! 1-0 to Steps after a Goal of the Tournament contender from the Romanian, whose right footed shot fizzes into the top corner before Navas can even react!! Their quick start gets them the goal they deserve!!
Rex FC restart the game but it's clear they're effected by the goal. They try to work the ball through midfield but find it tough against the diamond they're up against. Griezmann tries to get something going for them but is easily dispossessed by Maldini and suddenly Steps FC are on the attack once again. The ball finds its way to Kaka and he drives through the heart of the Rex midfield, before slowing down on the edge of the box. Just when the defence thinks he's going to play it out wide, he slips in a delicate pass through Hummels' legs right into the path of Reyna who only has the keeper to beat...
View attachment 51478
It's two!! A real shock on the cards here as Steps takes a 2-0 lead over Rex thanks to a blistering counter attack that ends with a lovely dinked finish over the helpless Kaylor Navas!! They double their lead midway through the first half to leave Rex with a mountain to climb even at this early stage.
They kick off once again and try to get the ball forward into the final third quickly to avoid Steps' defence getting set in their shape. Forlan finally gets a chance to get on the ball and bring his teammates into play, springing Griezmann free down the right hand side. Maldini quickly gets back and cuts off his route to goal, forcing the Frenchman to recycle possession. It comes to Veron who looks up with only one though in his mind...
View attachment 51479
He wraps his foot around the ball and sends it into the far corner!! 2-1 and the deficit is halved thanks to a brilliant strike from Juan Sebastien Veron!! The whip and bend on the shot was too much for Lee in goal who could only watch as it sailed past him!! Hope for Rex after it looked like the game was slowly slipping away...
Steps FC are undeterred after conceding and immediately get back on the front foot after restarting. They probe patiently waiting for an opening, hoping to force the Rex FC players to work out of possession. Zidane is growing in influence as he starts to see much more of the ball, and on this occasion he plays a 1-2 with Kaka before shrugging off the challenge of the nearest defender...all of a sudden he finds himself bearing down on goal with only the keeper to beat, but he gets his head up and looks over to his left instead...
![]()
He squares it to the onrushing Klose who has the simplest of finishes into an empty net to make it 3-1 to Steps!! They restore their two goal lead and put the pressure back on their opponents!! Heads down all over the pitch for Rex FC as they have to start from scratch again....
No sign of the game calming down as Rex begins to instruct men to pour forward, but this only leaves gaps in behind. They try to mount more attacks but a loose pass from Nakata presents the ball to the dangerous Zidane who has the freedom of the park as he breaks forward. He opts to shoot instead of passing and it gets charged down by Hakimi, but the ball goes out for a corner. The resulting set piece is swung in by Kaka right onto the six yard box...
View attachment 51481
Puyol gets a strong head to it and the ball is past Navas in a flash!! 4-1 to Steps and it's becoming a rout!! Disbelief in the ground as they score yet again and leave Rex needing a miracle to come back in this one!!
As we head towards halftime, Rex FC have no option but to throw men forward. Unable to play their way through, they resort to route one football but even that is proving to be difficult against Koulibaly and Puyol. They do manage to get a free kick on the edge of the box with the 4th official signalling a minute of stoppage time, as Griezmann stands over the dead ball. The whistle blows and he strikes for goal...
![]()
A HUGE deflection by Rex won't care!! It's 4-2 after a slice of luck as the free kick hits the wall and wrong foots Lee in goal!! A goal right on the stroke of halftime as both teams could use the break to catch their breaths.
The second half begins with more confidence from Rex FC, as they feel they're right in the game. The more direct attacking style is starting to have an impact as they try to overwhelm Steps with numbers in the final third, but they find chances hard to come by initially. There's also the threat of the counter going the other way, but for now Ramos and Hummels are able to see out the danger playing nearly on the halfway line.
The higher tempo is a feature of Rex FC's play in the second half as they try to drag their opponents out of position to create openings. Hristo Stoichkov decides to go for a more individual approach and picks the ball up on the left wing before beating Trippier to come inside. He shapes to shoot towards the far corner but sees an overlap out of the corner of his eye and plays a reverse pass to the free man down the left...
View attachment 51483
Roberto Carlos' thunderous strike nearly takes the roof off the net as he makes it 4-3!! Game well and truly on now as the pressure pays and they cut the lead to one!! No wild celebrations from Rex FC though as they still have work to do, but two goals either side of halftime have brought them back into the game.
That "two for one" from Rex is finally the impetus the game needs to slow down, as both managers begin to make subs to combat tiredness and figure out the best tactical strategy for the rest of the half. The end to end action from the first hour is replaced by a more methodical style, as both teams fear conceding another goal for differing reasons.
For their money, Steps FC are still looking for counter attacking opportunities to put the game away. Drogba's introduction gives them a target man to play off of and he's involved immediately as he chests a long ball down and plays it out to Trippier. He carries on his own run and gets on the end of the return ball by striking it ferociously towards goal...
View attachment 51485
HANDBALL SURELY?!? Ramos goes down holding his face even though it clearly struck his hands!! In fact he looked like a second goalkeeper there as he kept the ball out!! The referee waves away the penalty appeals leaving Steps absolutely bemused on the touchline....
View attachment 51484
Despite not being able to find the killer fifth goal, Steps FC manage to burn the clock by keeping possession and more importantly keeping the ball away from their own box. A nervous look at the watch from Rex as we head into the last 10 minutes, with his team now deploying a 3-2-5 system to get as many attackers on the pitch as possible. They're unable to create anything of note from open play, but do win a corner after an Alexis Sanchez shot was deflected behind. The Chilean goes over to take the corner and aims for the back post where there's a crush of bodies...
View attachment 51486
It's bundled in by Gvardiol!! It's 4-4 after a furious comeback from Rex but it's not without controversy. The Steps FC players are claiming Lee was blocked off as he went to punch the ball, and replays show big Christian Vieiri did attempt to back into him as the ball came in... Steps sarcastically claps at Rex in the opposite dugout as tensions rise on the pitch...
There's a long delay for the restart as the Steps FC players consider a Senegal AFCON Final style walkout!! Eventually they're persuaded to continue, but the long break in play means we're going to have six added minutes. Hoping to avoid extra time and more referee shenanagains, the Steps players go forward in search of a winner. The subs Deco and Dumfries combine to put the Dutchman through on the right side of the box before he manages to find a cutback to Valderrama...
View attachment 51487
Navas just gets a hand to it to push it onto the post!! It's taken more than 90 minutes of play but the Costa Rican has finally done something other than pick the ball up out of his net!! A huge save to deny Steps in injury time...
With the end to end nature of the game by this point, it's now Rex's turn to venture forward. The ref looks at his watch as Roberto Carlos goes down the outside looking to deliver into the box, but Dumfires stands firm. He plays a pass inside to Bruno Fernandes who only has one thought in his mind, and he fires at goal but the ball immediately ricochets off Vertoghen's knee...
View attachment 51488
And trickles past Lee in goal off the post and into the net!! The jammiest of goals from the jammiest of players but Rex won't care!! It's 5-4 with barely any time left after the Portuguese #10's speculative shot somehow finds its way into the net!! Cue huge celebrations from the Rex FC bench as the Steps players all fall to the pitch with heads in hand...
Not much time left after the restart and Rex FC make sure the game cannot get going again. Their players go down at every hint of contact, winning free kicks and making sure to bleed the clock. After playing over the allotted time, the ref finally blows his whistle to send the commissioner through to the Semi-Final.
Rex Caudillo 5-4 Steps

I’m on for potential back to back titles here. One of the most heated rivalries in A-M draft history. @Sanchez11 and @Riou had to team up to take down the Chain Draft winner @GDeep™. FML indeed.
No pre-match comments from Sanchriou who refused to show up for the press conference, with GDeep facing more questions about his managerial counterparts than the football…
“Will you shake hands with Riou?”

Sanchez11 manages to stop Riou from charging at GDeep with a steel chair in hand, meaning the game can finally begin…
Immediately from the kickoff Sanchriou on the front foot, following their manager’s lead and getting after their opponents. They win the ball high up the pitch and break forward, before the ball finds its way to Bergkamp who strikes without hesitation…

But Buffon gets down quickly to make the save. Bright start from the Sanchriou boys nonetheless.
GDeep FC continue to struggle to build from the back as they’re pressed relentlessly and another hoof forward ends up coming right back at them. Rui Costa plays a lovely combination with Del Piero and slides the ball through on goal for Richarlison who hits the deck…
![]()
No penalty says the ref!! Richarlison is gutted and his mood doesn’t improve after Sanchez11 gets up to call him a “Cvnt”!!
The half carries on with Sanchriou dominating proceedings, flirting with nearly 70% possession. They struggle to create real clear cut chances but push GDeep FC onto the edge of their own box. Rui Costa threatens again by coming inside before he sees Sulley Muntari free on the edge of the box. The Ghanaian looks to make a run into the area before he’s pulled back by his shirt…

Yellow for Thuram!! We know GDeep doesn’t rate his son but the father might be getting the brunt of his anger after that!! He’ll have to play nearly an hour on a booking…
The resulting free kick is swung in and cleared immediately, but with pace throughout the attack suddenly GDeep FC are the on the break. The Sanchriou defence get back but not before Luis Figo manages to fire a ball into the six yard box. Romero gets a foot out to deflect the ball away, but it wrongfoots Ryan Nelsen and presents a shooting opportunity for Lee…

Right into the roof of the net!! A powerful left footed drive is past Matt turner in a flash to make it 1-0 to GDeep against the run of play!! He stands up and pumps a fist in the direction of the Sanchriou bench, with neither of the managers on the opposite side daring to look back.
Sanchriou FC try to get their game going again but find it tough against a GDeep side who are fully employing the dark arts now that they have a lead. Persistent fouls every time their opponents try to get something going in midfield, leading to some frustration for the away side. Not finding a way through, Del Piero looks to a have go from 25 yards…
View attachment 51787
It sails over the bar. Sanchriou tailing off after a fast start, luckily for them half time is around the corner…
The halftime interval comes and goes with both teams opting to save their subs for later in the game. GDeep FC look to control the game with all, patient possession and wait for the right opportunity to score. With the Sanchriou defence playing a higher line this half, they see an opening to play Romario in behind…
View attachment 51788
But Romero makes sure he doesn’t get the chance!! He takes a yellow for the team and leaves the Brazilian in a heap. Sanchriou manage to deal with the free kick, keeping the game at 1-0 as the subs begin to limber up…
Adebayor comes on for Sanchriou and bizarrely gets a hug from GDeep before stepping onto the pitch. Sanchez11 cannot hide his disgust and asks the 4th official if he sub the Togo striker off, but is told no. It doesn’t matter either way he’s into the action straight away by fouling Enzo Fernandez on the halfway line, giving them a free kick. They restart the game quickly and get David Villa free down the left. He leaves Nelsen in his wake and dribbles the ball along the end line, waiting for the right moment to pass. He sees teammates flooding into the six yard box which leaves his captain free on the penalty spot…
View attachment 51789
Goooooal!!! Schweini side foots a powerful drive into the net to double their lead!! 2-0 to GDeep FC and they have one foot in the semi final!!
More action on the touchline as Sanchez11 is irate, still believing that Adebayor sabotaged the team!! GDeep smiles and gives him a, further angering the Yorkshireman. He looks around at Riou for back up, only to find he’s checked out of the game and is now watching the Arsenal 2003/04 Season Review DVD on a portable player!! It’s all falling apart for Sanchriou…
Meanwhile back on the pitch, the addition of Adebayor has given them a real target to play off of. He wins a few free kicks off the defence to give the team a chance to put the ball into the box. Unfortunately for them, Buffon dominates his area and claims every cross coming in. GDeep FC are holding up against the waves of pressure coming in with the manager urging his players to stay focused into the last 20 minutes…
![]()
Sanchriou do succeed in pushing their opponents back and come forward again with Rui Costa leading the charge. The newly subbed on Gareth Bale gets it and smashes a shot against the defender, before it ricochets out to Jordan Henderson…
View attachment 51790
Hendoooo!! He bends one around the defender unsighting Buffon and manages to sneak it into the net!! 2-1 with 15 minutes to go and even Riou is back in the game!! All set up for a big finish now…
GDeep looks physically ill after seemingly being in total control and sends on a few more subs to kill time and the momentum Sanchriou have built after the goal. It doesn’t have the desired effect as they’re under the kosh once more with Rui Costa continuing to torment the defence. He holds off Lee long enough to play a square ball to Bale who has no other thought in his mind but to shoot…
![]()
Just over the bar!!! It might’ve even brushed the post on its way into the crowd, with Buffon’s dive coming nowhere close to keeping it out!! Sanchez11 and Riou have their heads in their hands, thinking that was the equaliser…
With the minutes ticking down, Sanchriou throw more men forward to and outnumber GDeep FC in the final third. The ball gets fired towards the box but Rio Ferdinand rises high to get a strong header to it, with the ball going over the head of most of the players. Bergkamp picks it up just on the halfway line and spots Turner off his line before deciding to chip him…
View attachment 51791
His chip attempt goes just wide!! He can’t hit the target from 60m but he had Turner scrambling as he ran back towards his own goal. Disappointment for GDeep but the 4th official holds up the board to reveal five minutes of added time. Not long now left to survive…
Sanchriou spend the next few minutes trying to find a way through the middle of the pitch, but with GDeep FC playing a 6-3-1 by now they find no success. A free kick on the halfway line gives Turner reason to send the entire team forward as he looks to lump one more ball into the box. It finally comes in and pinballs around, before Thuram boots it out. Turner retrieves it again and goes for a chip this time, which finds the head of Varane. He nods it on for Del Piero whose shot is blocked, before Rui Costa swings a leg at it…
View attachment 51792
It goes harmlessly over the bar!! The Portuguese winger was leaning back when he hit it and the GDeep players celebrate as if they’ve scored themselves!! That might be it for Sanchriou!!
Buffon takes the goal kick, and GDeep FC manage to keep the ball in the other half long enough to run out the clock.
Big G marches on.

Sanchriou do succeed in pushing their opponents back and come forward again with Rui Costa leading the charge. The newly subbed on Gareth Bale gets it and smashes a shot against the defender, before it ricochets out to Jordan Henderson…

GDeep 2-1 Sanchriou
